I am interested in having a kite made as a piece of art for my gallery.
I would like something with an abstract design or a Northwest native
theme. Does anyone have any suggestions for how I could go about
commissioning an artist to create such a kite?
Many thanks,

Melissa Black

If you want a real piece of original artwork that has a NW Indian flavor to it,
contact Steve Brokett. Although he is European, his works reflect the artwork
found here in the NW. Contact me and I will pass along his address and other
infor.

Try Air Master Kites (pe...@airmasterkites.com). His kites are
aesthetically very pleasing and he'll do custom design work.

For NW designs, the man to talk to is Don Mock. He is well known
for his striking, often asymmetrical, NW Indian flavored kites. His
Sun Eagle remains one of my all time favorite kites. I don't
have his number at hand, and I'm not sure if he's online. But
you definitely should talk to him. I will email you with more
info.
