What no games? And what about swimming trunks? There's a nice pool on the
site!
About juggling stuff in your luggage, it used to be ok to take clubs as
carry on, but you'd be lucky to get away with it in these paranoid times.
I imagine you'd be ok with russians and rings. I travelled back from last
ejc (I think)with Parit and he wore 13 rings as a necklace :)
I often fly with 5 albatross, tent and sleeping bag (and games) packed im
my rucksack along with some thuds. The clubs survived ok. I packed them in
amonst my t-shirts to protect them (the clubs not the shirts!)
Aidan.
Same!
don't suppose you're flying Ryanair FR 9772 on Saturday morning out or FR
9775 back on Sunday evening?

that's a fair bit more than i'm planning on taking.
hat
sunglasses
3 T shirts
shirt
shorts
trousers
boots
underwear
all the above should be wearable on the plane
then i aim to get the rest of my underwear + spare clothes into a small
bag, and I'll just bring some balls with me probably.
Don't we all love budget airlines :)

simple - if in doubt, and it's a matter of saving space - you don't need
it. Also, you are likely to take more clothes than you need - it just
happens that way.
Don't assume that the weather will be hot and sunny all the time - last
time we we're in Karslruhe it was but you never know. We expected hot,
dry weather in Slovenia but it rained most of the time and the site
turned into a swamp. So take a waterproof and some footwear that you
don't care too much about getting trashed.
Depending on how easily you can sleep on the floor you might find a
sleeping mat useful.
A large towel is also useful. Obviously for drying yourself but also for
putting over your tent first thing in the morning when the sun makes it
too hot to stay in there after 8am.
The best way to save space with juggling kit is not to take it - I
rarely juggle clubs so they never go. If I really feel the urge to
juggle clubs then there are plenty of people there willing to lend some
to you.
Do you really need to take 6? How much of the time will you be using all
of them?

Yes for both flights. I know of at least 1 other juggler who'll be there
as well and he'll probably be with others from Nottingham.
I get to Stansted at 10 the night :-(
My advice is, if you're travelling with someone share a tent!!
I only take 4 clubs with me. I have Henry's Pirouettes so they're pretty
common, I can always find more to pass with people.
Take suntan lotion!
As for a towel, You can get microfibre ones from camp shops, they pack up
about an quater of the size of a normal towel, and dry really quickly no
matter what the weather is.
Decant your shampoo/shower gel etc... into small travel bottles, that way
don't need to take big bottles with you. *Always* wrap your bottles up in
plastic bags (and your suntan lotion), too many times the pressure of the
hold in the aeroplane has caused them to leak all over my clothes etc...
Don't take as many underwear as you need for the whole convention, you can
easily wash your underwear/socks etc.. in sinks half-way through the
convention.
If i'm flying with someone, I normally share the price of an extra hold
bag between us. This means it's only £5 extra each (normally) and you
don't have to panic about buying things there and so on, we normally use
this extra bag as a kit bag.
In the end, just think sensibly. How times will you need to change your
t-shirt, trousers? Will you really juggle all that equipment? Do you know
anyone else going who you can share equipment with?
Also, there'll be shops nearby, so if you do forget something/can't carry
it, you can always buy some there!
