> No I was after Dave Altman. Last time I asked he was hoping to be ready for sept this year but that was a while ago. Sounded like a great bit of land in Georgia that would be "groovy" for a laid back convention.
Hi Monte....you dont know me but...Dave is over on Facebook and posted this when I told him of your question.
Dave Altman Thanks Michael, that is good to know that seed is still alive. Camp Dave is still in the works. Since I'm the only one responsible and working on it, it's slow going.
I have talked to someone about having a non-juggling Camp Dave where some people would come, hang out and have a good time, plus help me build campsites and other projects, which would make a juggling festival Camp Dave possible. My main focus is going top quality shower/toilet facilities. Those are probably the most expensive things I have to provide from the very beginning. Things like cabins instead of campsites can be added later. Even campsites can be created by the attendees. There are thousands of decent places a tent could be put up, now, but I would like to have "real" campsites, similar to typical state parks, with a picnic table, fire ring, and a perfectly flat area with good drainage.
I think I did say fall of 2013, didn't I? I don't think that is going to happen, but I will pass out the word when things start falling into place.
Free free to copy/paste this for Monte and everyone else over there and tell them I said hi!
