Senate Bill SB-2099 will require us to put on our 2009 1040 federal
tax
form all guns that you have or own. It may require fingerprints and a
tax of $50 per gun. This bill was introduced on Feb.. 24. This bill
will
become public knowledge 30 days after it is voted into law. This is an
amendment to the Internal Revenue Act of 1986. This means that the
Finance Committee can pass this without the Senate voting on it at
all.
The full text of the proposed amendment is on the U.S. Senate
homepage,

every gun owner you know.
pass it on if you own a gun
I understand that our rights to own firearms have come under attack in
recent years. However, you really need to become informed yourself before
passing on information. In this case, it's bogus information as there is no
such thing as SB-2099!
A friend sent this same message to me and it didn't sound right to me. So,
by simply typing Senate Bill SB-2099 into my search engine, in under ten
seconds, I found this.

Yes, we do need to be made aware of pending legislation, but by the same
token, we don't want to be passing around BS and being seen as alarmist
extremists!
