I saw a guy working a hawk in town this afternoon. He was in a lot that is
part of the pig farm. I saw the bird sitting on a bush and when the handler
walked to the bush without if flying away I knew I had to stick around and
watch. It turns out the owner was just finishing his walk and we had a few
minutes to talk before I had to return to my responsibilities. I really wish
I could have seen it take something.

YouTube has video/pix of hawks doing some work. The one set of pix I
looked at was a hawk working with some Salukis to take a hare.

This thread reminds me of an annual wild game dinner we used to go
to. One of the top three prizes for the raffle would be a hunt with a
redtail hawk and its handler.

There is a forum on Jesse's website that is about hunting with hawks.
There might be someone on there from your area.
