My dog won't come when called 
  We live in the country and have an English Setter who runs free during the day but stays in the garage at night. He is a great pet and, during the day seems to behave fairly well. Litter Size and Artificial Insemination with Frozen semen 
  I have recently had a litter of 9 flat coated retriever puppies sired by a dog in Europe via artificial insemination using frozen semen and a surgical insemination technique. I believe this is a very normal size litter but am wondering if others have had any experience and if they also had normal size litters?... more »

Tick repellent advice? 
  I live in a fairly high tick infestation area. I don't like to use stuff on my dogs that is systemic since I find it hard to believe that over the long run it is safe. There are products like Advantix and Bio Spot that claim to kill ticks when they bite. (that's great, they have already bitten) Others claim to repel. I wonder how a few drops of a... more »

The first strike on this bill is a felony, I thought the NRA and other TX gun lobbyists might be interested in being at the meeting THIS coming Wednesday. Dog Box Size? 
  I was looking at some of the new aluminum dog boxes with storage compartments, but the interior dimensions are smaller than my present box. I need a box where I can put two dogs to a compartment.
