My service provider, as well as others are eliminating carrying news groups.
Any suggestions as to what I can do to keep in touch with this one? Thanks.

You can always use Google Newsgroups tab.

Subscribe to another news service, free or commercial. Run a search on
"newsgroup servers".

There are many free or very cheap newsgroup servers. Google for

My ISP is one that is dropping newsgroups at the end of this
month. I plan to switch to groups.google.com.

The problem is that if you ask almost all users what newsgroup servers
they use they will reply "what's a newsgroup?". That is a verbatim
answer I got from Cox tier 1 tech support.
