Sorry, can't be of help here.

On the other hand, I'm quite curious about how it's blazoned. Do you
have it?

The website in the link tells you: d'azur à un coffret d'argent en
forme de losange aux angles coupés

Though I do wonder whether the arms might have been first conceived of
as 'azure, a stone kist (or chest, or coffer) proper'

Hi Matt,
just for your information!

"Steenkiste" or German "Steinkiste",
is the old name for "Stone-Coffin",
as in Stone-Graves!
http://www.google.de/search?q=Stone+coffin&hl=de&sa=X&prmd=imvns&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&ei=K12IT5TULI7P4QSEiYnyCQ&ved=0CCwQsAQ&biw=864&bih=573

Maybe there still is a slight chance that somebody will find the
crest!?

....with my best regards!

Thank you Zwartendyk,
I keep forgetting about "Gallica"

p. 80 : du même. VAN STEENKISTE (ALPHONSE), né à Bruxelles, naturalisé
Français, créé comte par bref d'avril 1882. ARMES : d'azur, au diamant
d'argent. VAUDRIMEY D'AVOUT (CHARLES-NICOLAS-THÉODIME DE), né le 17
novembre 1802, général de brigade en 1857, secrétaire général de la
Grande Chancellerie

...well, a diamond sounds better than a "Coffin"
:)

...but I don't believe that this was the original intend!

Also, no crest!!!!!
