medieval/renaissance Tuscany. Of course, the family's not being noble
would not preclude its having a coat of arms, but coming from the type
of shop Orlando describes the arms could equally well be those of
Dulany, Delano, Lennon, Landau, or any other name that remotely sounds
like Dalla Lana. Or of nobody.
