a minor knight. This word and Knecht are obviously the same.

Knecht probably to be translated by karl in Danish.

Svend is usually translated by Geselle in German; but perhaps not
here.

Obviously not understood that there even minor knights, and among
again even minor ones.

In those days it was for them rather important. And we nwadays see
just noblemen. Because so easy, simple.
