.375 reduced loads
I'm on the revival bandwagon of the .375, since I bought a rifle in ..375 Ruger. Going into hand loading is logical, because ammo is expensive and a problem to get, and this gun has a 20" barrel, weighs about 9lbs. with Nikon Monark scope, and the .375 Ruger case is 6% larger and a little more efficient than the .375 H&H. So I have some... more »

220 Swift
I've got a hankerin' for a new rifle in 220 Swift. Unfortunately, my back is sufficiently delicate that I have had to abandon shotgun shooting. This makes me wonder about a 220's recoil. It's actually a moot point in as much as I don't have a problem firing a .25-06. Back to the moot point at hand.... more »

It's nothing flashy, but the reviews indicate it is a well made, economical scope that is positioned to go head to head with the mid-... more »

Really long tv shot at sheep
I had more vacation than usual this Christmas season and ended up wasting some of it in front of the tube, watched a few hunts on one of those outdoor cable channels. In this one, a guy who'd never fired a rifle ended up drawing a sheep tag. Using a 7 mm Mag, he took his sheep at 765 yards, ranged with a... more »
