I know the 7.62 X 39 has been offered in the AR type rifle for a while but
It doesn't seem to be popular and I seem to recall it doesn't fit the action
very well.

So whats its advantage when fired in a 6.5lb rifle over the 6.5mm
cartridges such as the Grendal etc etc?

Sounds an awfully lot like (and ballistically looks extremely similar to)
the 7.62x39, which has been in the AR15 platform for some time now. The
differences between it and the .308 Winchester are distinct.
Don't know of Remington is trying to expedite recovery from the .17 HMR
debacle or not, but their advertising is, at best, creative.

Shot a running jack rabbit at about 100 yards with a 22 pistol when I was
young..... using a S&W Model 41. I like to think my marksmanship and
skill was a factor.... maybe improved the odds... but still I would say it
was luck. It was nice to have a witness, though.

Well, if a 7 mm Mag is zeroed in at 200 yards it will be about 7 inches
low at 300 yards so at 765 yards he had to be aiming clear the hell over
the top of the sheep. Of course maybe he had it zeroed in at 700 yards
but that is very doubtful.

Its funny. It took me a while to circle back. I had found this website
around Christmas time. They did in fact fill several of the gaps in my
