Hi Folks,
Just wanted to let shooters in Eastern and Central NC about a good
deal at a local shooting range. For a one time fee of $475, up to two
family members get a life time membership to the range. This includes
their own key allowing them 24/7 access to the facilities. This deal
is good through the end of the month. Other than being a member
myself, I am in no way associated with the owner of the range and am
gaining nothing with this post.
Please check this link out. Maybe I will see you at the range.

Thanks for the looksee. Definitely an area I'm looking at for retirement.

Did notice two things:
One is the lack of hours after 6PM. Although I like the "key" access for
lifers.
Other is a bit "anal" on the rules re loaded weapon. Is there a State rule
on carrying loaded to the range?

I went to a range in Va with a friend. I was carrying (NC CCW recip in VA)
and they had the same rules, no loaded weapons until you get on the range.
I don't understand it either. You have a CCW, are at a shooting range, and
you have to unload. Go figure

Mike,
The range operator is somewhat flexible on closing but normally closes
at 6 or dinner time. If you had a group or event that was set up in
advance, closing time could be adjusted. Again, Lifetime membership
solves this issue.
No law in NC dictates this but I have shot at several ranges in
several states and this varies widely. Usually occurs after some numb
nut does something stupid and scares hell out of people. Not sure why
Ken has this rule but he does stress safety to the max. He also
teaches CCW classes so he knows what he is talking about.
When is retirement? Hope it is soon. :o)
