Also, note that from the headline that two guns in a vehicle is also a
"Car full of weapons".
As to the "171 rounds of ammunition, several cartridges", your guess is
as good as mine. Taking literally it means more than 171 cartridges.
The article mentions that the jail operates on a cash basis. Does this
mean that if you don't have a source of money, you starve?

states to come down and buy you out. You shouldn't go to Mexico without

You really should not keep it in your pocket either. They'll simply
take it upon arrest.
When it is said that the jail operates on a "Cash Basis", that usually
means that they just lock you up. If you want a bed, blankets or food
-- you better have some coin with which to buy them.
Anyhow, with the original article being snipped everyone needs to
remember that anyone stupid enough to cross the border into Mexico
with a firearm of any type, they better damn well be ready to go
directly to jail and plan on being there for a while. All-in-all it
really is a pretty stupid thing to do.

What's to keep the cops down there from just stealing your bribe money,
as well as your watch, shoes, etc., and then throwing your ass in jail
to wait for you to arrange for some more bribe money to be brought down?
At the rate the Mexicans are coming north, I wonder if this is a
foretaste of America in the future.

the attorney gal said something like "wow, that's quite an aresnal, isn't
it?" He told her that no, he didn't consider it an arsenal, that he
considered an arsenal to be more like a room full of military rifles in
racks, ready for soldiers to use. She then asked him how he would
describe his collection and he replied "I'd say I had a couple of guns."
A person who will understand why a golfer has 15 golf clubs in his bag
cannot understand why a shooter/hunter will have/need more than one gun.
Go figure!
Sometimes a non-hunter/shooter co-worker might ask me how many guns I owned.
My reply was always "oh, a couple."

I've never been asked that question. ;-)
The only people I discuss it with are people that I know understand...
I know my collection is small compared to many gun aficionados.
