Looking for a .41 SWC (prefered) bullet mould..in the area of 200-240grs

Id consider round nose..but prefer a decent Keith style Semi wad cutter
style

No Lee multigroove micro yada yada designed for shake and bake lubes.
Unless you can make the case that they lube with alox type bullet lubes
well enough to push to top velocities

Id be interested in swapping for Stuff..other bullet moulds, machine
tools/accessories etc etc

Double cavity prefered..but can live with single cavity. Ive got most
types of handles..but if you got a pair go go with the moulds..Id swap
for em.

Also need lubrisizer die set to fit Lyman bullet lubricator in
..412-.413.

Anyone got anything kicking around of this type..Id be interested.
Winter time is here and its bullet casting time again.

Lee list mould TL410-210-SWC in double cavity It is a tumble lubs
so it is desighned to be used with out sizing. I have had excellent
results with Lee moulds they heat up fast and cast a good bullet

I use the Lee tumble bullet intended for use in the AK in 165 grain
weight (as cast with pure wheel weights). I've shot these in all of my
30 caliber rifles. 7.62x51 Ishapur, Mk4 303Brit, M1917, M1903, ect. I
size these in a .311 Lyman lubrisizer using home-made bullet lube from
the Ed Harris recipe (paraffin, beeswax, petroleum jelly, gear oil.)
My velocities range from 1800-1900fps with a gas check. I have noticed
no ill effects from the Lee mould cast bullets. They shoot pretty good
out to 200 yards. (Hard to find a range near me that goes further.)
The $19.95USD price tag on the Lee moulds are nearly impossible for me
to pass up. Smoke the moulds with a wooden kitchen match, and touch a
piece of paraffin under the sprue cutter every 50-100 bullets and the
aluminium mould blocks seem to last indefinitely.

I plan to try the Lee 195 grain .410 semi-wad cutters in my .41 magnum
soon. I'll let you all know how that works out.

Im not a big fan of Tumble Lube bullets. And the Smith 57 really really
needs a .412 bullet, not a .410. Lee is very good about producing exact
size bullets..which are ....410

But thanks

Gear oil in bullet lube? Are you using a 80W90 for manual transmissions and
differentials? Does it smell as bad as the gear oil when its mixed?

I will post the original recipe from Ed Harris when I can get to my
external hard drive. As I remember, it was only about a table spoon
per quart of bullet lube. There is a faint odor of oil from the jar of
lube. I don't remember the exact SAE number, but this stuff was
thicker than honey. I don't notice any smell while shooting, but it
has been a LONG time since I shot indoors. The main attraction is that
I can mix up a batch of this stuff from ingredients that I have around
the house and shoot for a LONG time on the cheap, cheap.

Found the file on the external HD,
"If you want to make your own nonAlox lubricant, using readily
available

materials, start with equal parts of beeswax, paraffin and
petrolatum, or

petroleum jelly. A heavy petrolatum like Cosmolene is
preferred, but ordinary

drugstore Vaseline works quite well, though will provide a
less stiff mixture.

These materials should be melted in a double boiler taking
precautions against

fire. To improve lubrication, a tablespoon per quarter pound
of straight

nondetergent motor oil of SAE40 or heavier may be added (I
used 90 weight gear

oil), or the same amount of RCBS Case Lube II may be added.
RCBS Case Lube II

has some interestingproperties in that it mixes readily with,
and will

dissolve other lubricants. I recommend its use as an
additive."

I use this in rifles and pistols and have yet to find any downside.
If you are interested in the entire article, let me know and I will
email it to you.
