If those of you in California want to get rid of the ridiculous way
thay issue CCW's now is the time!
Write to your Assemblyman!

Right-to-Carry Bill Scheduled to be Heard Next Week!
Please Contact the Members of the Assembly Public Safety Committee
Today!

Assembly Bill 357 is scheduled to be heard by the Assembly Committee
on Public Safety on Tuesday, January 12.

AB357, sponsored by Assembly Member Steve Knight (R-36), would create
a shall issue concealed handgun permit system in California. Under
current law, an applicant must show cause as to why they should be
issued a permit to carry a concealed handgun for self-defense. AB357
would remove that stipulation and require sheriffs to issue the
license if all other mandated criteria are satisfied.

Please contact the members of the Assembly Committee on Public Safety
TODAY and respectfully urge them to support AB357. Contact

It'd be easier and cheaper to just move to Nevada.

This has a snowball's chance in hell. The legislature is totally
dominated by anti-gun Democrats and the gun owners of California, by
and large, don't seem to care.

Or North Korea, or China . . . heaven forbid we'd want to actually try to
fight for our rights.

And Bill Smith speaks for California gun owners as a whole?
The Assembly is not "totally dominated" as one thinks...Knight and
Hagman are both strong supporters of this Bill and it only takes one
to make a snowball into an avalanche. All it takes is calls, e-mails,
or letters to get that ball rolling.
Personally, I wrote to every assembly member whether they are in my
district or not!
Move to Nevada?? I prefer not to run but to stand and fight!

I'm doing what I can on this. Not much chance of it passing with the
current cast of legislators, but we can at least make them notice that a
number of people are interested in preserving gun rights.

Good luck with that.

Had a lot of success lately, have you?

The actual legislator seldom if ever sees his correspondence unless it's
accompanied by cash. It's handledd by staff and they could care less
unless it's a flood, one sided. By flood, I'm saying tens of thousands
or more letters.

If I lived in CA I would write, but I wouldn't hold my breath on any pro
carry laws passing in my lifetime. That said, maybe, just maybe you might
push the fact that more guns mean less crime. A hard fact to ignore.

Anyway, like the other poster said, "Good luck."
