I have a old belt that I have outgrown and have been unable to
find anyone in the Kansas city area so I'm asking for help I want to
keep the belt and have it enlarged to accommodate my new belly.
Does anyone know where I could send the belt to get it enlarged.

Maybe even get a new leather belt with the same buckle.

[MODERATOR: We will generously presume he is talking about
a gun belt for it to be vaguely in-scope here. Followups
to the poster, thanks.]

Regardless of the type of belt, would a shoe repair shop (old style) help??

That or a shop that makes and services saddles, harnesses, and so on.

Good assumption but wht wouldn't the OP have done a simple google search?
My goodness - this is not a difficult issue to deal with. Why do people
insist on posting such things when they could simply carry on their lives
without seeking the help of other people?

Find a shoe repair person, boot repair, leather goods (purses etc).
A new back center can be added - snaps and several inserts made for
age. Two inserts are three sizes.

I have a 38" waist..and bought a VERY nice tooled holster for a single
action once on Ebay...that the guy advertized as 40". It was....32"

So I took it to a saddle shop and had it split at 6 o'clock and then
had a proper bit of matching leather sewn in which I then tooled with
a matching Colt emblem with a contrasting color. Cost me $15 (more
than the rig) and I still use it some 15 or so years later. Looks just
fine and works well. It was sewn ----______---- with about 1.5" of
overlap on both ends so I used the "recessed" extension for the Colt
logo.

Brownie,
Check for saddle and harness repairs. Ask around at your local farm and
ranch supply stores. They should have some 3x5 cards up on their bulletin
board. Another place would be a leather craft store, like a Tandy store.
Their customers are people who do leather craft. The proprietor would be
able to hook you up with a local smithy. Any of those people can put you
in contact with leathersmiths. It would be an easy job.

To have the belt enlarged, assuming there isn't enough left on the belt to
add some holes, it's probably going to cost as much or more to add a section
and have it stitched in as to buy a new belt. Many new belts are made to add
or swap a buckle using snaps, and that would make it easy to swap the buckle
yourself. Otherwise, it would be a snap for a shoe repair place to swap the
buckle. And here's a thought: Maybe the belt is trying to tell you to lose
some weight. :-) I know mine is.

If it's because you're progressing from childhood sizes to adult sizes, get the leather replaced through shoe repair or saddlery.

If it's because (like me) you're eating more than you're burning, try pushing back on the table earlier in the meal, and wearing out some shoe leather... Might not need to replace the belt.

But a Wendy's jumbo roast beef sammich wouldn't be the same if it wasn't on
thick cut Texas toast with at least two slices of Swiss. ;-)
