hello,

just went to a huge gunshow in san diego today, and was amazed
by some of the stuff there. the highlight for me was the Tussey table
(gunsmith that did some guns for steven seagal); his pistols were just
excellent; the finest 1911's one has ever seen! but i digress. what did
dissappoint me was some of the vendors there. i saw a few Colt Ar's that
were nothing more than Colt Receivers, or even just uppers, and they
were trying to pass them off as entirely Colt guns. There was even some
dealers selling LEO mags to the public for $89 each!!!! i asked him
"arent these for police use only and unavailable for the public?"
and he was very sheepish in his reply....what some dealers will do for a
buck....

I've seen this on several occasions myself . One dealer I recall was good
friends with the local Chief of Police, so he didn't seem to care....
