Another fellow (can't remember his name) can hit several targets
using a double action revolver in less than 2 seconds.
It's a fascinating show that even my wife likes and she's not a gun
enthusiast.
Watch it if you can!

You think? We're having this little "get together" on the shores of
Lake Erie in a week or so through mid-August called, "The National
Matches"...watching folks shoot "Cleans" on 1000 yd targets most folks
can just barely see with iron sights makes those "trick shooters" look
lame!
What's that got to do with shooting?
No, I leave bows and arrows to other people...1000 yd targets, yep!
As an old Perry competitor I couldn't agree more!

Practical reality is most people who engage a target in hunting or self
defense will do so at much closer ranges. The ability to hit a target 1,000
yards away with a heavy, customized rifle from the prone position does not
neccessarily imply that the shooter is equally proficient at closer range
with a more suitable weapon. And vice versa.

Most likely Ed McGivern.
You can do 1000 yd competition with archery. You just make the bow out of
railroad track and pull the string with your Jeep winch. LOL
They showed both guys. Jerry said that Ed was his inspiration. It was
awesome seeing how fast the mechanics of a revolver would function. They
can actually go faster than a semiauto. Amazing.
Sure
Do it all the time whenever I shoot in the rain.
I tell you, it's a real pain wiping off those dead water drops off the point
of the arrows.
Indeed, I witnessed almost such a thing this last weekend. A guy I
was hunting with head-shot a deer at 235m in the (fullmoon) dark from
prone, but earlier that day missed a pig at 20m freestanding with the
same rifle.

Where is it deer season and what state permits hunting in the dark?
Frank
There is a whole world outside the borders of the US.
And you can't legally hunt deer at night there either!
Minnesota allows deer and bear hunting in the dark.
"2) Shining While Deer Hunting. Those possessing a Band
deer shining permit may hunt deer at night, over bait, from an
elevated stand, at an authorized location, and during specified
periods. See Deer Hunting Regulation Summary, Section B (pg 16)"

Minnesota DOES NOT!

And this is a disingenuous hunk of misdirection! It involves INDIANS
hunt deer on THEIR reservation as provided by treaty not regulated by
state game laws! Unless you be a Band Member on specific Band
land....you can't do it!
