It’s a beautiful tree but not the best choice for landscapes in many parts of the USA. However, there are good alternatives to the English oak. Leylandii robbed soil

Hi.I've just removed a large leylandii tree approx 20ft x 15ft spread,it's been in about 25 years.I've dug in a lot of compost and removed as much debris and root and needles as possible.Can anybody advise my as what plants would tolerate this soil. Thanks

Hi All Recently built raised beds (quite deep and long) and need to fill them for plants and shrubs (not herbs or veg). Will require 2-3 tonnes of soil to fill the beds - but what sort of soil should I be looking to use? Will normal topsoil suffice or should I use blended topsoil, blended loam...help!... more »

Scungy family and no cider

Cuck (and others), you will find this instructive. My birthday & mothers birthday recently. Had a family BBQ today @ our place. Had to cater and pay for everything to celebrate my own birthday. Personally i think they are one of the best out there. I bought a pair of Felco No2's from [link] and they were so cheap i couldnt believe it. Also it was free postage!!!!! Let me know wot u think? and if you have bought a pair from them? Matt
