In the fall of 95 I planted 30+ tulips and last spring they all
bloomed and were beautiful. I left them in the ground and planted
annuals between them for summer color. This spring 8-10 of the tulips
did not come up. Last week I read somewhere that tulips like to be dry
during their resting time. If I plant annuals in this bed, then I must
water them.
Should I dig up the tulips after the leaves are gone or is there an
annual that likes to be kept dry all summer?
