I have three upcoming speaking engagements, presenting my program
'Orchids in
our Backyard: Florida's Wild Orchids'. This program starts by covering
a few
broad topics related to our native orchids (total number,
distribution,
habitats, species which are threatened/endangered/subject to
exploitation)
before launching into a sampling of individual orchid species from
across the
state - some common, some very rare - with a gallery of photos (all
taken by me
in the field) presented for each. This program has been very well
received as I
have presented it at orchid and native plant societies throughout
central and
southern Florida.
* Monday, Feb 8th, I will be speaking at the Central Florida Orchid
Society,
which meets at Leu Gardens, 1920 N. Forest Ave. Orlando, Florida, at
7PM.
