For all of you fortunate enough to have gotten a chance to try out
the Super Famicom, has anyone tried Final Fight yet? From the magazine
screen shots I've seen so far, it look EXACTLY like the arcade game.

So, anyone tried it yet? Does it also sound like the real thing?
Gee, this game alone is enough for me to want to buy a SF even though I
hate Nintendo.

I saw the Super Famicom last weekend. The owner of Sunset Electronics
on Taraval in San Francisco had a demo unit for playing. There were 2
games running on it: Super Mario Bros. 4 and Final Fight. Final Fight
was stunning. The game had more colors than I've ever seen in a game.
It is exactly like the arcade version. Also, it demonstrates a sprite
scaling effect that the hardware is capable of at the title screen. I
was very impressed with the speed of the scaling done. Sound was also
very well done with some digitized effects like the 2nd boss whistling
to his friends and the grunts when your punches connect.

Super Mario Bros. 4, I was less impressed with. Looks like something
that could be done on the Genesis. Had nice color palette though.

The owner of Sunset Electronics can order a Super Famicom for you. Cost
is $299...no game included...and it costs $10 for the video cable. Most
games are $80 or so.

PS: No, I don't work there. The place has a nice selection of Genesis
games for rent also (from Japan no less!)

Yep I've played it, it is the arcade... Awesome game, awesome starter
for the SuperFami... I must say with this game and FZero, this makes Genesis
a little dusty... Ahh well... I've also played Pilot Wings... Seemed goofy
at first.. but its really cool... But when they say its in Japanese its IN
JAPANESE!!! I belive Mr Watters can go in a full detailed report... Dave..

Can you wait?

>Q: Will these super famis work ok in the U.S.??

Yes, either composite video, S-VHS, RGB, or channel 95 on a digital tunner.

>Q: will the system come immediately, or will I most likely be placed on

You pay enough.... you'll get one.
