Warning, some spoilers........................................
Not a review, just My thoughts.................
Arc the lad: Great intro to the series, not too hard, it was nice to play the old style rpg again. This took me nine hours.
Arc the lad II: I liked the way the characters from the first game where all in this game. The ability to control all the characters was great although i did find there was a lot of wandering around (i took my eyes of the screen for a second and missed an important conversation of where to go next, and was stuck untill i found a walk- through!) also, i just could not beat that final boss, he was way too hard. but with sixty hours of playtime i got moneys worth.
Arc the lad III:Great game with improved graphics (it reminded me of the last couple of Breath of fire games) I did find the inforced hunter jobs a bit tedious at times but you could skip a lot of them if you worked out which jobs would advance the storey along. It was a bit sad too that Arc himself was not in it at, apart from a brief cameo appearance (we have a tv show here in the UK called Taggart, only the actual Taggart of the title died years ago after a few episodes) I found that a bit disappointing. Beat the boss in this game and took about 35 hours.
all in all a great 100 odd hours frittered away and carrying the saves over was pretty cool also. I would like to thank Vic and WD for making it happen. Roll on Growlancer II & III

Glad you dug the games. The fact that Arc I & II were so strong is the reason we pushed for a collection rather than having someone else just release III by itself (I didn't think it was compelling enough for us to do it alone). It also brought the US (well, and by extension European importers) up to speed on the whole series.
Thanks again for your continued support. Actually, you may see Growlanser II and III in your native PAL if everything works out right. Only Alundra and Dragon Force have made that leap so far, but I couldn't think of better games to join that club.

Hey, speaking of Arc the Lad, are you guys making any plans to bring out the PS2 offering that I remember hearing about at one point? I'm waiting to see how the Growlansers end up, myself... and what about Goemon?
By the way, I tried to email you at one point a couple months back. I don't know if you just didn't want to reply, or if you didn't get it. *grins*

It's been a while since I played it, but I think you have to press a button to have Choko stop her search and "find" something. Are you playing it on the Playstation, or on a Pocketstation? I always played it on a Pocketstation.
You can't get Anrietta before the end. She's part of the plot and play of a number of jobs, but she can't be had until the very end, and getting her is in exchange for NOT getting a perfect job record. The only real difference is player satisfaction and the fact that in one version of the last animation she's with the group, and in the other version, she's not.

Try e-mailing me again. I don't recall seeing anything from you, although you may have been carried away in a spam purge. I've been trying various methods to reign in my ridiculous spam problem, with occasionally unintended results for legit E-mails.

I know I *generally* got something playing it on the Pocketstation, but I personally didn't play the in-game version of it. Maybe an emulation artifact? I really don't know.

Urgh, I know the feeling. I've tried to send another email, although I'm not 100% sure I used the right address.
