I don't want to get in the way of free enterprise or anything, but isn't
this item just a common CR2032 watch battery? You can get it at almost any
general retailer or drug store, and usually each one costs you around two
dollars. You get them cheaper in bulk, but given how long each one lasts
it's not worthwhile in those quantities unless you have a Beowulf cluster
of Saturns for some reason. :)

Or a bunch of VMUs.
Bingo. That's usually how I end up with so many...

No clever battery substitution going on then? I had a temporary holder for
four AA batteries, but I planned to create something more permanent that
would allow you to run it off four AAAs instead and still plug it into a
Dreamcast controller as needed. Off of the CR2032s, a VMU running the Chao
game (or Nanwaka Densetsu) lasts only five or six days, tops.
-KKC, who needs to finish Record of Lodoss War some day.
Naw, I haven't really put a whole lot of time most of the VMU mini
games. About the only few I used to play were Mini-Tetris, the one that
came with Skies of Arcadia and the "Snake"-like game that came with
Trickstyle. Past that, I like looking at the various displays devs used
when the VMU is in the controller...but that's about it.
