Ok folks, I never played the original punch-out. So with that in
mind, can someone please give me a clue about how to beat Masked
Muscle? Whenever I'm doing well he pulls that crappy head butt on me
that I can never avoid and I lose all my health. What's the trick
with him? Thanks,

You can dodge this. Just get the timimg right. Once dodged you can hammer
him in the gut about 5-6 times. Also dodge his spit. You can also block
his jabs high. BTW, has anyone noticed this guy has the same animations and
same moves (with the exception of the spit and headbut) as Soda Popinski of
the original Punch Out?

The best thing to do is dodge to the left or right, and punch low when he
does the headbutt. Other than that, just dodge the spit.

Also, when you dodge his uppercuts, be sure to counter-punch on whichever
side his body is on, or you will miss him. If he spits when you have a full
power gauge and you successfully avoid it, do rapid head shots. You'll get
eight in a row and he'll sink to his knees, dazed. Do a power blow to his
body and he'll fall, no matter how much life he has.

It is possible to punch him when he tries his head butt. I'm pretty sure
that a head punch is required. I've only pulled it off a few times, but if
you succeed, you'll drop him.
