Thanks for the Tip.
I'm just curious about the reason of replacing mp3 with AAC instead of
allowing both.
Perhaps legal issues with mp3 royalties?

It just took them 3 years to write an assembly AAC decoder thats fast enough
for the Wii. :)

AAC doesn't get cheaper unless you sell more than a million units a year.
So Nintendo must think this Wii fad isn't going away anytime soon.
Fraunhofer did have a flat rate unlimited licensing option but thats what
got MS their $1.5 billion payment to Alcatel.
