I'm a grandparent with a new Wii. One game I got was Wall-E, and
maybe I just don't understand how these things go these days. I keep
trying to open Wall-E's home without success. I have found a small
area to explore, can recharge my batteries and find stuff. I have no
idea what I'm supposed to do with blocks, except make them and throw
them (why?).

Am I supposed to know? Am I just supposed to go around my world
getting stuff until I graduate to the next level?

Well....you could just put it down and leave it to the kids. But try doing a
Google for "wall-e wii walk-through" or maybe "cheats" (not sure if there
are cheats on wii games).
There is a plethora of info on the internet on gaming. With perseverance
you'll no doubt find your answer.
