Probably the best commercial for the NEC TurboGrafx-16...Which isn't
saying much since most of NEC's ads for Turbo pretty much sucked.

But this commercial always stuck in my mind ever since 1989, and I had
been searching the net for it, for a freaking eternity.

It's one of the commercials in NEC's "the higher energy video game
system" campaign, but this one is almost funny. The game featured here
is Legendary Axe and there's two teenage clowns on the edge of their
seats with 'excitment'
("go back, go back, go back ,go back!") as they battle giant boulders
& bosses.

However the star of this commercial is definitely the sandwich-
gobbling dog. I was a kid when this ad came out in '89, I loved how
the dog said 'Tuuuurrrboooo'', crazily, while scarfing down a ton of
sandwiches left on the table.

I'd be surprised if anyone here actually remembers this commercial.
TurboGrafx-16 ads were few, and weren't aired nearly as often as Sega
Genesis.
