I have made a batch of these for myself & some friends, but I have
plenty left over. I don't know if this would be interesting/useful for
anyone here, but I have some further information on this page:
http://www.gamingenterprisesinc.com/vic20/
That's pretty cool!! I'm curious; how does a person reprogram it if
they wanted to?
If I get just the board and not the whole cart can I use any spare
cart I have as a donor??
How much would shipping be for just the board?
I looked at your site you linked to, could you contact me here via
email or post, answers to these questions?? Thanks!
Sorry for the late response. You would need an eprom programmer (&
purchase a blank eprom) in order to make a new set of games. The otp
eprom that is included with the unit is socketed, so it can be removed
and replaced by a different eprom. I maybe didn't describe this
clearly enough on the web page.
The two options are 1) the pcb with parts & sockets soldered down or
2) just a bare pcb with no other parts. a plastic cartridge shell is
not included in either case.
The shipping is the same for either the bare board or assembled board,
but the shipping cost is the same no matter how many you order.
I hope that answers your questions.
