I try to avoid El Dorado if at all possible. It's nice to have a resource
for stuff and I don't mind the prices but the guy has a real bad attitude
24/7. I have yet to meet a single person who loves dealing with this guy
in person.
Gaymond Lee
A few people have complaints about him as too being slow and charging too much for
his stuff, But I think he has eventually delivered on all the goods he has
promised. If I am wrong on this, feel free to leave a comment. All I can say is
that george has been polite to me on the phone too! I can promise you, he does not
even know who I am. Later, Bill
P.S. I can imagine gaymonds first encounter with george.... At some point gaymond
would use his "special methods" for getting games cheap (offer nothing), at which
point george would probably say "get $%^# out of my warehouse...."
Was that the time when you tried to buy some games from under my friend
(Rip Off) after he told you that he had already made an agreement with
George in a casual conversation at the auction? To his credit, George
wouldn't sell them to you

I can see how you like to make up more BS Bill with speculation. Why would
I try to buy stuff for cheap from soemone who deals with the parts market?
That was a stupid remark/cheapshot. My problem had to deal with parts he
promised to put on hold. It was a pair of Assault joysticks that he
assured was on the shelf. After driving the 2 hrs each way from San Diego,
he said he forgot where he put them and refused to even attempt to look
after I had wasted my time driving there. A weirdo sticking up for another
weirdo, go figure? Did you change out of your Raider's outfit yet?
Gaymond
The only other games I remember in the warehouse were:
5 or 10 tailgunners (I already had a sitdown)
3 computer spaces (1 3 player, sold to videotopia pending repair. I had zero interest in
them other than curious as to their value. I already had 1 and know were 3 more are
including a 2 player...)
fire fox (Brian's pending repair). I already had one.
If it was about a ripoff, I already had 1 (I have 4 right now. including a cocktail)
If it was a Dragons lair or a space ace, I would have been asking for a friend. (I hate
the games and have no desire to own them.)
To say that george just deals with just parts is a 100% lie. I guess you did not notice
the warehouse with like 200 games in it? Who know if george has more games. Also, I am
not sticking up for him, I was just stating the facts that I had a good transaction with
him. You were the one flaming george without offering a just cause.. Plus, I seriously
doubt you went up just to get the joysticks. You probably were delivering, buying, or
shipping games and stopped by. Which means you were lying... again....
Unlike you, I do not email or call people and offer more than the asking price of a game
just to get into a deal that you lost out on. (I think that's what happened on the black
widow which was recently sold on the group. Your name popped up again.) I was very glad
to hear you did not get the game!!!!!!
For some reason you have a problem with the way I dress. What's up with that? Obviously
your pretty stupid or else you would realize that the team shirts I wear sell for $40 to
$180 a throw. I think that's a bit more than the gap crap you buy... To be honest, I
don't know what you wear as you mean nothing to me...
I have a suggestion. Maybe you should quit checking out guys? You seem to be a confused
person and can't figure out your sexual orientation. So if your trying to hit on me, I
must inform you, I don't play for your team!! Later, Bill
P.S. Gaymond, I wish to respond to facts publicly, please do so. If you wish to trade
personal jabs, please take it private. This is the 1st personal public shot I took at
you. It was in response to two personal public shots you took at me. My previous posts
concerning you were directed towards your business practices, tactics, and ethics. All of
which I believe are severely deficient.

The guy's name is Robb Alvey. He mentioned about buying a Rip Off and some
other Cinematronics game from George and you went to El Dorado and offered
more $$ for them so please don't try to plead ignorance. You are not a
nice person so please don't try to make yourself look silly. I have many
other stories from collectors so I will keep adding facts and games to the
list if you want to continue slamming me. Remember the other time when a
Sinistar appeared at the Fullerton auction. You kept telling that RGVAC'er
(W.E. is the initials) that the game was sh*t and that it wasn't worth
$200. After failing to convince him not to bid, you promptly ran up the
bid to over $600 before bailing out.

No, incorrect again. I made the special trip just for the Asaault
joysticks because I had a customer in Simi Valley waiting for the game.
George had about a week's notice and assured me that they were/would be on
the shelf when I came. Before this deal, he was merely difficult. He
became worse after that deal. No, you're the one making things up Bill.

I don't see anything wrond with responding to an initial email offering a
little more $$. AFAIK, no deal was made before I sent my msg. It's
something called strategy but your feeble mind can't comprehend these
things. Oh yeah, you also don't like it because I won't end my EBAY
auctions early so I can sell games to your friends.

I have a set amt to pay because I have prices locked in for my customers.
I handle the matter professionally and if it goes for more than I can
spend, I can walk away from the deal without being an a8*hole like
yourself.

If you don't already know or have a friend to tell you about your personal
hygiene. You have been wearing exactly 1 outfit for as long as anyone has
known you. We're not talking about multiple outfits of the Raiders. You
have been wearing the same exact outfit for as long as I can remember
(back to 1994). If you think I am the only one who has noticed, you are
sadly mistaken. Everyone jokes about that and you, incl people you think
are your friends. I may be mistaken about your > than 1 outfit as you may
have or own 10 dozen of the exact same outfits with carefully placed
strategic holes in the same exact places.

I have a beautiful girlfriend and have been seeing her for 7 years. You

about that unless you want to continue slamming in this part of the thread
: P.S. Gaymond, I wish to respond to facts publicly, please do so. If you wish to trade

No, this isn't the first public shot you took of me so quit the BS. I
stated 2 factual events with collectors on RGVAC. You are a snake and a
con artist and no one should mention getting any pending deals regarding
arcade games in a casual conversation with you because you will try to buy
it from under them.
I took at
: you. It was in response to two personal public shots you took at me. My previous posts
: concerning you were directed towards your business practices, tactics, and ethics. All of

Another lie without basis. You have taken every opportunity to slam me
publicly when you can and you keep slamming me to my customers and the
weird thing is they stick up for me and wonder what the ?? is up with you.
They mention this to me and all I have to say to them is that you don't
like me and that I don't know you well enough to hate or dislike you. You
are a mere nuisance. You send stupid emails to me telling me I should
inform the buyer of my EBAY MS Pac that it had been a conversion from
Pac-man cocktail. The pictures clearly show Pac overlays and other than
that (which I have new Ms Pac overlays for) the only difference between
the two would be two coin slot mechs on a Ms Pac vs 1 slot on the Pac.
AAMOF you like to send me email regarding every single EBAY item I put up
FA on EBAY and bitch and moan calling everyone on EBAY an idiot. When I
tell you I have business in CA selling 10 SF Rush machines, you call my
buyer an idiot. You never have a good thing to say and you are a legend in
your own mind. I try to handle my business in a professional manner but I
will respond to all your public slams and return the favor every chance I
get. Plz respond to my above accusations regarding those two collectors
and I will post more facts for you to defend. Of course, you will probably
continue your ignorant drivel and call me names without any basis.
For people who haven't been around since 1994:
Bill E used to sell more games before I came on RGVAC and I almost bought
a $1200 Sinistar that you offered to me. Fortunately, I found one for
less. You are just upset because you haven't progressed any further,
(actually regressed) and I was able to turn this into a full time gig and
drop graduate school. If I have such poor business practices, why is it
that many of your former customers buy and sell exclusively through me?
Gaymond Lee
> gaymond lee and bill both wrote something bad, and....
I just want to say "Bill and Gaymond, share the love my young brothers, no hatred
here, we are all one in the gaming world....."
Okay, now that I've gone mental !!!
My thoughts on Bill and Gaymond: Never had one deal go sour, and I'd buy from
either again and again, and again......I have happy thoughts of both!
As for Eldorado:
Bill mentioned my Firefox.....I had to harass George into pulling the game out of
the back of his warehouse so I could pick it up after a two weeks (and already
paying for it). After threatening him, he pulled it out, it didn't work, and well
damn-it!
So almost a year later (and I moved to No. Cal) and threating him with a lawsuit
because he kept promising to fix it and ship it week after week (he kept it to
repair), George and I came to a compromise. While I fault him for promising (not
saying, but promising) to fix something somewhat promptly (a year is more than
enough time), I do appreciate that we could agree on a compromise. It wasn't a
great compromise, but at least something.
George is like Jekyl and Hyde to people.....some persons have nothing but good
dealings, others have nothing but problems. I seemed to have fit in the middle...
Buyer beware.....
As For the sinistar, I was bidding on it because it was very nice. I did
tell warren at the time that it had a sound problem. I had plugged it in
the day before and it was missing sounds. Yes, I did tell him it was
missing sounds as I hoped he would not bid on it. But he wanted it more
than I did. I even told him what I thought was wrong with it after he
won. I would not have told him it was a piece of shit and not worth
$200. I also did not bid it up just to spite him.
Unlike the asshole you are, I did not make a promise not to bid on it.
Remember the star treks? We agreed that you would take the first one and
I would get the 2nd. You bought yours and then bid on mine? Why? You
said because it was selling for less than the one you just bought....
What an asshole.
Hate to tell, you but offering more for a game that was already sold is
not a strategy its being an asshole. I don't know who was the first to
offer the $100 for black widow, but I hope he was the one who got it.
What you should do is to offer to buy the game if the 1st guy backs out.
Who the hell cares if you have a buyer for it.. What you can afford to
pay has nothing to do with the situation. Obviously, your too stupid to
figure this out.
Gaymond, I would be the first to admit I am not a saint. But I don't
make it my business to to take advantage of people who do not know any
better. Its one thing to sell a game to a person for a ton of money who
knows what a game is worth. Its a different story when the person does
not have a clue. So far I would say the worst thing I have ever done to
another buyer was buying an entire storage container of games while
someone was looking to buy a dig dug. But again, it was the operators
choice. He agreed to sell them all to me. There were a few dog games in
that lot so It was probably the best choice for the operator. But boy,
that buyer looked pissed when he walked away...
I think you need to visit deja news. I HAD NEVER made PERSONAL attack on
you prior to the last message. All my previous attacks were concerning
your business practices and ethics. The word personal means pertaining
to your person.
You do realize that people occasionally wear something so they will
stand out when they are at an auction? Dale luck wears his sinistar
shirt.. I choose to wear a $160 oakland raiders jersey.. I guess I am
too poor to afford anything else... Now you have a problem with the way
I smell? Well maybe if you quit kissing my ass, you will not have a
problem with how I smell.
The real problem with you gaymond, is that I won't kiss your ass. Others
might as you can find things that they want. I don't have to as you have
nothing I need. If I lived in the LA area I am sure I can find tons of
things too.
Also, You have made me wait over a year for the board you owed me as per
our laser disc player trade. I think that's long enough. Make sure you
have it this time.. I let you slide on the deal you backed out of. I am
not going to be so nice this time.
I could get very creative with your comment about your "beautiful"
girlfriend. I have never met her so I really can't comment. But if your
idea of "beautiful" is anything like the "excellent" condition of your
games, I really don't think I want to meet her... Also, as for that
awesome corvette you drive(As if it was a nice one), you know what they
say about little guys driving muscle cars, I am sure your girlfriend is
twice blessed...
As for offering to sell you a sinistar for $1200, now that's a 100% lie.
I have had 4 sinistars since I started collecting. 2 sitdowns and 2
upright. The most I have ever asked for one is $650. As for your
customers being stupid, well, if they are paying more that what it costs
to buy a game new from a distributor, yes, I would call them stupid...
If your referring to brian and him selling you his games, well, you sold
him most of them to him at very inflated prices. You would think you
would offer him a fair price back for the games. I sold 1 game to him, 1
to his boss and 2 I traded him.
As for you taking customers from me, well, it might have something to do
with that I don't pursue games like I used to. I already have 99% of
what I want. For the last 2 years I have been working on getting rid of
my spares. I try to help people find games they are looking for. Beyond
that, I direct them to people who might have the games they want. I am
too busy with my real job and fixing my own games to want to have
another big business selling games. Most people want the same common
stuff. If your not actively looking for games, your not going to get the
inventory.
As you yourself have said gaymond, your real business is corporate
clients. Now its ebay. you said you really don't deal with RGVAC people
as they "waste your time". Maybe that's because they are too smart to
pay your inflated prices? I am not envious of your business. I do not
want to pursue a life based on screwing people to make money. OOPS, I
forgot, those buyers enjoy giving you the "premium" for wonderful
personality.
I hate to tell you gaymond, but its a material fact that the game was a
converted pacman. It should have been stated in the ad. People who know
about games probably would guess the the pcb was probably hacked to play
Ms pacman and not a real ms pacman board. That's another material fact!
I don't think the ebay buyers are smart enough to know this. Also,
referring someone to a web page that has a game priced at 4x what its
worth is also pretty dirty. You could have referenced them to video
connection where they have theirs priced at $795. But, that would be the
honest thing to do. Lord only knows you can't do anything honest.
Personally, I think you do a good job cutting your own throat. I would
prefer this to be private, but you want to continue public. The nice
side effect of public is that when people do a search under your name
they are going to learn a lot of interesting things about you, your
thought process and how you do business. Later, Bill

Gaymond,
Apparently, your message followed this one.
Sure looks like I had a deal at that point.
Shortly thereafter, the 'auction' started.
As soon as I saw who else had made offers, I asked her if she would
sell it to Scott, since he's someone that has helped out a bunch of
people in the collecting community up here.
I hope my request had some effect on who she sold it to.
: Gaymond,
: Apparently, your message followed this one.
: Sure looks like I had a deal at that point.
I responded a few minutes after my server picked up the msg. I usually
offer a little more if it's something priced low and will receive a ton of
responses. just standard procedure and I had no idea if I would be the
first, second, or last peson responding.
: Shortly thereafter, the 'auction' started.
Pinchick asked me if I would mind an auction format because he/she needed
$$ to pay for vet bills for their sick dog. Didn't bother me, not their
fault for not educating themselves and as a fellow dog owner, I felt the
$$ was going to a good purpose. I had no idea who wanted the game or how
much they offered. I placed a bid offer of $200 or so before I went to
sleep. Very busy week, driving to Phoenix and back, heading to San Diego,
and then leaving for the SFBA where I am stuck due to the rains. This all
happened in a span of just over 50 hrs.

I have no problem with that. I have had dealing with Scott and he is a

He offered more $$, I doubt you had any influence with that but who am I
to say.

be the first, second or last offer. I did not respond 2 hrs (we're talking
15 minutes of so) after the msg was posted nor was I informed that it was
sold. I was asked if I would mind if they auctioned off the game because
they needed the $$ to pay for Vet bills for their sick dog and didn't know
what to do because of so many replies. At no time did they tell me they
backed out of a sale to auction it. If I see a Defender in the newspaper
priced at $35obo and I can't get to it within 10 minutes, I will offer at
least $50 to close the sale. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that
because the game hasn't been sold at that point. It's the same as witht he

would be high today but was an unconscionable sum two years ago). When I

: to buy a game new from a distributor, yes, I would call them stupid...
Again, more pointless drivel. You only know the $$ amt (if even that) of
sales and not the entire process that went into it, time constraints, and
pre-req's to make any deal happen. I can get a game out of state (which I
just did) from a private operator, bypass the distributor, and sell the
game(s) for less than one could get from the local distributor. Again, you
are stating ponit blank that they are stupid w/o considering all facts
like qty req'd, earning that would be loss due to not having the equipment
asap, etc. Very limited thinking but that has to be expected from you. I
don't feel the need to slam others business practices without facts, I
learn from others and try to better myself.
: If your referring to brian and him selling you his games, well, you sold
: him most of them to him at very inflated prices. You would think you
: would offer him a fair price back for the games. I sold 1 game to him, 1
: to his boss and 2 I traded him.
Take Brian out of this. I have bought many games from people that you
have sold to. They bypass you because they either don't like you or feel
you are difficult to deal with. I make quick decisions and don't waste
time to nickel and dime knowledgeable sellers. You would think that people
would deal with you because you are local and they already know you exist.
Many choose not to and I have you to thank for being the person that you
are.
: As for you taking customers from me, well, it might have something to do
: with that I don't pursue games like I used to. I already have 99% of
: what I want. For the last 2 years I have been working on getting rid of
: my spares. I try to help people find games they are looking for. Beyond
: that, I direct them to people who might have the games they want. I am
: too busy with my real job and fixing my own games to want to have
: another big business selling games. Most people want the same common
: stuff. If your not actively looking for games, your not going to get the
: inventory.
Your real job? You work for your parents fixing run down places in the
'hood when you feel like it. How's that a real job? You have no chance to
get fired for lack of work
: As you yourself have said gaymond, your real business is corporate
: clients.
Again, trying to twist what I say. I informed you that my main focus was
corporate clients, athletes, and stars. Ebay is also good because I don't
have to devote much time.
Now its ebay. you said you really don't deal with RGVAC people
: as they "waste your time".
I deal with RGVAC'ers all the time and picked up 10 games in the SFBA
since Friday. I need to rent a truck to bring everything back to LA. I
also scheduled a pickup of 11 games when I get to LA to make efficient use
of my $$ and the U-haul. I said that I no longer had the time to deal with
RGVAC sales for now because it involved having to take time out to show
games and drag them out from storage. I stated that I wasn't taking on any
new customers until I get caught up. I don't see anything wrong with that?
Maybe that's because they are too smart to
: pay your inflated prices? I am not envious of your business. I do not
: want to pursue a life based on screwing people to make money. OOPS, I
: forgot, those buyers enjoy giving you the "premium" for wonderful
: personality.
You don't even know who my buyer's are. Athletes and stars? I deal through
their agents or personal helpers who just want someone reliable to deliver
the goods by the date stated. I have to set aside a min of 3 days to
coordinate everything and make sure everything goes smoothly. Do you think
that a few extra $$ matters to these people? They know they can get things
elsewhere for a little less but that isn't their focus. They want these
things when they want them. Many hold big parties and only want the game
for that day or no deal. Let's see how many distributors will operate on
that schedule without a deposit
: I hate to tell you gaymond, but its a material fact that the game was a
: converted pacman. It should have been stated in the ad.
The reason behind this is? Did I state it was a dedicated unit? No I did
not but I would have been happy to bore anyone with all the details if
they asked. How many lines do you want me to include with my description
to make you happy? Do you jump on others on EBAy and monitor them the way
you like to with my ads? If not, why not? It's because you are taking a
personal crusade to watch and slam me every chance you get
People who know
: about games probably would guess the the pcb was probably hacked to play
: Ms pacman and not a real ms pacman board. That's another material fact!
And you guess this because...?
: I don't think the ebay buyers are smart enough to know this. Also,
: referring someone to a web page that has a game priced at 4x what its
: worth is also pretty dirty. You could have referenced them to video
: connection where they have theirs priced at $795. But, that would be the
: honest thing to do. Lord only knows you can't do anything honest.
I fail to see how that is dishonest or honest. I call it shrewd marketing
but we can at least agree to disagree on this point without name calling.
As with any person(s) engaged in a for-profit business, I list my items
for auction to maximize $$. The game was auctioned with no reserve and
starting at $.01, it could have gone for much less. I gambled, rolled the
dice and did well. The buyer was local and the game will be prepped to
their specs and delivered this weekend
: Personally, I think you do a good job cutting your own throat. I would
: prefer this to be private, but you want to continue public.
As long as you continue to slam me publicly and privately with no basis
other than your not liking me, I will continue to do this
The nice
: side effect of public is that when people do a search under your name
: they are going to learn a lot of interesting things about you, your
: thought process and how you do business. Later, Bill
Bill, you are nothing but a loser with sour grapes because you have
accomplished nothing. They will also see your thought process, lack of
reasoning, and will be careful when mentioning potential deals they are
trying to get. If you want to take this privately, don't follow-up
Gaymond Lee
I'm sure you are aware (although you may not want to admit it) of exactly
what effect this has on a seller who isn't perfectly honest. I was surprised
to see you too start fawning over the sick puppy :-) Sheesh Gaymond ;-)
As for Bill and Gaymond, neither of you are doing yourselves any favors
with this constant bashing of each other, and I don't just mean this thread.
