The pengo Im working on has no sound whatsoever with 2 different
boardsets. I thought the sound pot was on the board (they are both
sega boards), but then I noticed a volume pot in the front of the game
probably added later or is supposed to have a volume pot there?

My pengo has the volume pot on the board. Are you getting 12 volts to
the audio amp chip?
Possibly a harness problem? or a power supply problem in the 12v?

12v was good
turned out to be just a loose wire on the harness...that front pot does
nothing, but the one on the board works great
