Hi;
Can anyone recommend a place that I would be able to send a periscope
from my Sea Wolf game to be powder coated?
Thanks
Jeff

I always just find someone local for powder coating. Check your
yellow pages. Call ahead and find someone who will throw in your odd
part in one of their runs.
If that doesn't work out, there's someone at BYOAC that does powder
coating (I haven't used them):

man i dont know about powder coating the periscope. unless you strip
it yourself. many powder cooaters sandblast before powder coating. the
last thing you want inside is trapped sand. believe me.

I'd have to agree with that - plus would be hesitant on the powder
coating. One of the periscopes that I've refurbished was spray-
painted black on the top metal piece - with some of the overspray
hitting inside where the bearings roll. -Messed up how smoothly it
swung until I cleaned it out. You definitely don't want any sand,
paint, powder-coating - or whatever - inside.

Has anyone ever powder coated a control panel, and used it bare?(No
artwork).

I ask because I'm trying to determine the best material/process for
resisting corrosion when sweaty hands are involved.

Thanks.

Excellent....
Thanks for the links and info.
Harbor Freight has the kit for $50.00 and the paints are $6.00.
With all the restorations I do, I'll be able to do all the marquee,
bezel , coin doors etc myself. I just have to find a used electric
oven for my garage and I'll be good to go.
I'll just put this on the list of projects I have and who knows, in a
couple of months, I should be in business.
Thanks again
Jeff
