Power Supply Needed!

I have a Gauntlet Legends Arcade Cabinet that no longer powers on. It
looks like the power supply died on me because the power supply will
no longer turn on. I have taken pictures of the power supply. I have
never had to purchase a power supply before. Do they make new ones you
can purchase, or can you only get used ones? Where could I get a
replacement power supply from? I live in the Los Angeles area, is
there some place local I can go to get on from? Thank you for your
help and time!

You want to go to Betson Enterprises' Los Angeles area branch office
in Buena Park.

Take the bad power supply with you (I see many wires have been chopped
off of it thus ruining it) to the parts counter there. Betson
distributes the entire "Peter Chou" power supply line and can sell you
the exact replacement or it's modern plug n play replacement.
Talk to Kevin Cardea there and mention Ken Layton from Olympia,
Washington sent you. Make sure you also mention the machine the power
supply goes to. You are looking at around $50 for the power supply I
think.
If you need any other parts for your machines, like bulbs, joysticks,
buttons, connectors, etc. Betson will have what you need.

Thanks for the info. I actually emailed them a while back when I was
having a different problem with my Megatouch and nobody ever got back
to me. I ended up contacting Merit myself and they helped me fix it
via email. I have 4 arcade cabinets & 2 pinballs, and I'm constantly
needing parts, etc. Betson is kind of far from me. Maybe 60 miles.
Do you know anybody else local to me? I live about 35 miles north of
Los Angeles. Do you know any good repair people out in my area in case
I run into something I can't handle? I had someone do some repairs to
my pinballs a while back and they fixed it for a little bit, but I'm
having the exact same problems all over again now. Thanks! ....Steve

No, I don't think there are any other companies local to you. All the
others have gone out of business. Betson is the second largest arcade/
pinball/jukebox parts supplier in the world (Happ Controls is number
one).
I would suggest joining the KLOV forums as they have plenty of SoCal
members who may be able to help or know of other parts suppliers near

OK, thanks so much again. I have another issue that maybe you can help
me with. I purchased a Sportcraft Basketball shooting game and one of
the basketball hoops isn't recording the ball going through it
anymore. The problem seems to be with the main control box because I
switch the cables and it works, so it has to be in the control box
itself. I tried to get in touch with the company but they seem to
have gone out of business recently. Do you know where I can get a
replacement control box or something similar that will work? I
haven't had a chance to take the box a part to see if it's something I
can fix myself, maybe a loose wire or solder joint, etc. ....Steve
