What is required to convert a Golden Tee '99 to a Golden Tee 2005?

Anything else besides a hard drive, main board, and marquee?

Trackball? Power Supply? Wiring Harness?

Thanks

You would likely need a new power supply. The newer kits draw more power.
Also the power supply needs to plug directly into a red board set (not
powered on the JAMMA harness.)

Make sure you set the GT05 boards to run standard res, as I would suspect
your monitor is not a multi-sync and GT99 runs in standard res.

Everything else should be the same.

You will need a new PS, but you also need to know which one to buy.
Is the CPU on your 05 red or green?

You will also need to add buttons to the control panel. INstead of
getting the drill out, you can buy a used populated control panel
usually for $50 or less if you look hard enough. Run the wires for
the extra buttons off of the proper positions on the JAMMA harness,
and you're ready to roll!

My CPU board is green.

Which power supply does that call for? Can I only use a green golden
tee 2005 board to replace my '99 board?

Thanks

To convert a Golden Tee 99 to a GT2005 would require a Golden Tee
Fore! motherboard with Hard Drive loaded with 2005 software. Not much
else would be needed unless your current power supply can't supply the
required current (or if you don't know how to re-wire your supply with
the included harness). GT2005 will use the same trackball, JAMMA
harness, and monitor as a GT1999. You will also have to install 2 more
buttons on the control panel for the Fly-by & etc. buttons. I might
have a GT2005 set sitting around for sale. Hope this helps. PF

If you buy the green board, be sure you get the bypass cable for the
power supply.

Sell your 99 and buy a 2005 game. FORE! on std res looks dreadful.
