Seems awfully busy to me (but I guess the CP IS busy :)
Forgive my ignorance, but who is the guy in the trenchcoat? What game is he
from? and who is the lady with the broom? From Bubbles?

Cloak and Dagger perhaps? (kitted into defender, I think?)

The trenchcoat dude is from Splat!, of course,

http://www2.webmagic.com/klov.com/images/S/nSplat!.jpg

As for the CPO, it's nice but does not allow for 2player Splat! (which
is an option on the MG). :-( Needless, I'd buy one if the price was
similar to other repro CPOs on the market.

The original design was more simple looking as far as the art, not the
button/stick layout.

Yes it may look busy, but theres a lot of games here. We tried to cover each
game in the kit with certain colors/graphics/characters. While we know its not
perfect we put a LOT of time and thought into this with help from others here
in rgvac.

In addition to opinions, we are open to suggestions. We want to make this
something everyone will be happy with, all the while knowing not everyone can
be satisified.

Theres a lot of colors and art involved here, so the cost will be slighly
higher than a typical cpo, but not by much.

Please keep the feedback coming, we want your input.

Thanks

Looks good. A bit busy, but I like the idea of getting representative grapics
from all the games in there anyway.

Personally, I could do without the woman with the broom.

Are you folks going to make a Marquee to go with it?

I think it looks great. I'll be a customer.
I am wondering, where is the reverse button for Stargate/Defender? I
am no expert at those games, but I hear that the placement of that
button is critical.
Of course, I am just finishing my multigame project in a _Defender_
cabinet - any hope that this CPO will work, or for a Defender CP
modified version? (The bottom portion would have to be cut off I
suppose.)
Thanks,
Mike

I like it as is. The Splat! double joysticks would be nice, but would
take up too much room in a multi cabinet. How about marquees to
match?

Are the complete control panels going to come prewired?

Great job Philippe!

Regardless of what they look like, I think it's great that one is being
made in any form. Great work!

I for one, actually like the 'busy' design. The CP is not going to be
simple in the first place, so you may as well spice it up with a lot of
artwork too.

Another great product and I like it. Sadly I dont have one Williams game in my
collection (yet). I do have a SEGA Star Trek in an Asteroids cabinet with Clay
Cowgills SEGA G-80 Multigame that has Star Trek, Eliminator, Space Fury,
Tac/Scan and Zektor. It would be cool to have a Marquee and control panel
overlay made for this multigame. Just an idea, anyone else interested. Maybe by
the time the multi sound board is ready( hint, hint, Clay) we can have a CPO
and marquee too. I can always hope.

Have two different control panels (and thus two different multi-CPOs).
Stargate/Defender cannot be properly worked into a multigame control
panel with all the other buttons and joysticks required for Robotron,
Bubbles and Joust. Too many buttons, too confusing, and the two-way
joystick for Stargate/Defender is completely lost. Ever try playing
those games with a four or eight way joystick?

Three bolts, one molex connector for change out. Not that difficult. I
would personally want a dedicated control panel for each game - then
you sacrifice nothing.

It would sure be nice if the left flap button could be moved down and to the
left (more of a Defender/Stargate position)with the word "REVERSE" under it.
Also it looks odd with the "START" buttons off center to the left. Could
they be moved to the center? and move "2084" to the center as well? it would
look much better symmetrical IMO :-)

other than that......it looks great!

This is a little off topic, but I too have had problems with playing games
with joystick that support too many directions. That's why, for the MAME
cabinet I'm building, went to http://www.oscarcontrols.com and order their
kits. They have templates you can put on their joystick faceplate to
enforce 2-way, up/down or left/right, 4-way, and 4-way diagonal. These
templates can be easily added or removed. I don't know if this is the
perfect solution, but I'm hopeful. We'll see how it works when I get my
MAME machine put together. It's just a bummer I don't have more time to
work on it.

I only wish I did.

The *only* thing I have been able to think of is putting a 'handle' type
stick with a trigger (think "Tron") on the left side and wire the trigger
as the Reverse button, but that would be unsatisfactory for billions of
other reasons...

How about a foot pedal? :)

Looks really good and looks like a lot of time was spent on it ...
Here is my $0.02

1) Nice a colorful. But I got confused with the broom lady and the
trenchcoat guy (reminded me of Elevator Action).

2) I like how you incorporated something from every game.

3) The only real issue I would have is that there show be three
joysticks in the design. A 2-way up and down to play
Defender/Stargate since there is a different feel than an 8-way
joystick. I am also biased because these are the games I prefer. I
also have no idea right now how to properly incorporate it either.

Definitely interesting.

Oh, and label the left Flap as Reverse as well (for Defender/Stargate)
as it can do both of course.

A multigame marquee is in the works and we have a preliminary design, not ready
for public viewing yet. May just go ahead with what we come up with and print
it. There are fewer concerns that need to be adressed on a marquee.

Side art for Jamma cabs is being considered. Your input on side art is
appreciated.

Lastly, no consideration for Sinistar will be made after conversing with Clay.
