Following is a list of componets on a pacman board and some faults that
may
be caused by their failure. Certainly this won't fix all problems but its
a good
place to start. Hope it is usefull to someone out there.

Eric,

Thanks for posting that troubleshooting info. I am sure it will come
in handy to those of us that are not engineers. If you have similar
info for other games, please feel free to post it as well.

This comes from a very good book on troubleshooting the pacman board. The
book goes into detailed discussion about each section on the board and how
it works. These books have been offered here on the net before, I believe
MARCO (ti...@ixnetcom.com or something like that) was selling them. Highly
recomended if you want to seriously learn board repair.

I don't know about Marco Specialties, but I am selling this manual
and a copy of a companion manual for $8 each. I think I have about
10 original copies of the part I manual left and I am going to be
making several copies of the part II manual (sans the cover, which is
missing). Part I is a higher-level troubleshooting guide, and part
II walks you through each section of the game logic.

I also have similar manuals for Galaxian. I think the Pac-Man
manuals are more detailed, though.
