I saw that Joust pulled out from the row, great find, the sideart was
nice on that.
All in all it was pretty good I suppose, but you're right, he did take
forever on the slots/ bartops and such. Hopefully someone will have
the Missile Command price, I was wondering on that too.

I had to leave early too. If anyone got "stuck" 4 clearing out
combined lots the junk aisle, I'll gladly make an offer on...
Vanguard Cocktail (scrambled board, but good monitor and CP's)
Dedicated Carnival (bad board, missing t molding under marquee)
50 Cal (monitor out, good rotaries? had board maybe?)
The mostly working Striker in the Ikari cabinet.

Some notes on the games above...
The Xevious was really sweet, dedicated machine. Joystick was a
little stiff, but I got well over 100,000 on a casual game.

There was a "Bullfrog" that went for $120 - was that real? Was it
really a "prototype" like he said???

The cocktail that had the Commando was really clean inside. It was
converted from something that the original CP had "i" men indicators
and orange/yellow art deco looking lines. Anyone know what it was
originally?

The Burgertime had some graphic issues on the board. Played really
sweet. Someone had all of that block - popeye, DKJr, etc. They must
have had a sweet gameroom. (The popeye was playing originally...)

That Burgertime, some girl got really mad at her boyfriend/friend/
whatever, for not bidding fast enough. Pretty Funny. Think she
smacked him a couple of times. I noticed the graphics issues too, a
few ladders were in the wrong place.
Someone was messing with the Carnival board while I was looking at it
and it came up for a little bit, but when they closed the back up, it
stopped working again.
The First Ms Pac had some centering issue when I played it, or maybe
they're always that way, kept moving to the left. It also had a
speedup chip in it (I think, it was awfully fast)
I still can't believe thise Blitz '99's went as high as they did I
think a non working one went for 200+ a working one was $400, Maybe
I'll bring mine to the next one.
I never heard of Bullfrog either, didn't look that interesting to me,
not listed on KLOV either.

Was that what was going on! ROFLMAO! I was standing 3 feet from them
and couldn't, for the life of me, think of what had happened. She was
literally bawling. I looked the guy in the eye and gave him my best
"I feel yah, hang in there dude."

Those Ms Pacs were in about the worst cabinets I've ever seen. The
one next to the Battlezones was just pitiful! Huge chrome thing with
the speaker grills and a huge, but crappy monitor. One of the guys I
was talking with said it still had an 8 way joystick in it. They
could have gotten $200 more in a tiny cabinet with a proper joystick.

My "wow" price was some of the super low pinballs, plus the zero Point
2 in the smaller cab that was working perfectly went for $450. I
shoulda snagged the Alien Abductors in the cab with th emissing gun
and bad monitor. Went for only $75 bucks. I'm sure it was an easy
fix. :( But, I was waiting on the other games I didn't get to bid
on.

Yeah, I was only a foot or two away from her, and I heard her
screaming at him, and he just kept saying sorry to her over and over
again, he said something like he couldn't get his hand up in time, and
she's like well why weren't you waiting to bid, why weren't you
ready. I'm not sure what the big deal was, maybe she only had 160 to
spend? It's not like they couldn't have gone up to 175, or
something. it was pretty surreal. I almost offered to sell him mine
for $160 cause I felt bad for him :) I remember seeing her playing
the Burgertime pretty much the whole time I was there, so I think she
had her little heart set on it, poor thing :)
Yeah those Ms Pac cabs were pretty bad, I wish I'd taken pics, they
were pretty out there.
I think the same person was snatching up all the nintendo cabs.
Wasn't there two of the Zero Point 2's there? I didn't see that alien
abductors cab though.
I was going to stay to the end, but my back didn't want to cooperate
with me, and I ended up leaving. Plus I figured if I stuck thru the
junk row I'd probably end up with another cab that might or might not
have fit into my van! I wish I had stayed cause I wanted to see what
the cocktails went for and the Carnival and Missile Command.
I was kinda suprised at the little Neo Geo 2 slot. I've seen pictures
of one like that before but never saw one up close, that thing was
really small.

Yeah, the Missile Command would have cleaned up nice for someone who
wanted to fix it. In fact, I kind of like that it was left as is,
with just the buttons and trackball looking taken care of, and most
everything else original. Not everything's better with a new overlay.

Yeah, that was super tiny, it looked like the guys who bought it were
maybe those college aged kids. What where they going to do, play on
their knees? They didn't look like they had kids. Either way, that
was a sweet little mini-cabinet for sure. I knew it would go for a
good price, so I didn't even look into getting it for my daughter
who's 4.

The Burger Time would have been her's anyway if I'd been in a buying
mood. She plays it on MAME with me ("the salt and pepper game"), and
she plays our Namco TV plug-in-play with Dig Dug ("the game with the
digger guy in the dirt" is what she calls it - I have to run the pump
button for her) and Ms. Pacman (she can clear about 3/4ths of a screen
now, and get a ghost or two.)

Maybe the college kids were going to put it up on a table or
something, fit it in a dorm room, still it's kinda funny, thinking of
those guys on their knees trying to play this itty bitty cabinet :) I
was thinking about it too, but I figured it would go higher than I
wanted to pay.
My 4 year old son calls Burgertime the "Hamburger" game, and he's
gotten fairly good at it too, he can almost clear out the first level
without any help from his dad. Kinda funny, most parents would be
like Johnny scored first in the Spelling Bee, or Mary got straight
A's, we're bragging about our kids high scores on Ms Pac and
Burgertime!

Okay,

First to clarify.

I was the one that won the "Burger Time". and yes I did feel sorry and
ended up selling the game to her for $20 more then I paid for it to cover my
cost. She waited around 3 hours to pick it up. Funnest part was afterwards
she was waiting for super auctions to wrap the game in plastic and load it
in her borrowed truck. Started another fight with the boy friend over not
bringing a dolly.

Also the Missle Command went for $270. Would be interesting to hear if it
was an easy fix.

Oh yeah. the empty pacman cab in the back row went for $75.

Thanks,

Scott

Just had to clear up the couple of questions.

I would feel more sorry for that guy haha.... Maybe you did hook him
up and he got laid that night after she got a "Burger Time" fix...

Wow, man, wow!
I don't know what to say. Man this story just keeps getting better
and better.
Oh yeah thanks for posting those other 2 prices. I thought the
Missile Command would go kind of high, there were quite a few people
looking it over.
