I recived my Cinematronics side art from Archer over the summer, but
just got around to taking a look at it. I have not compared it to my
machine yet, but by the looks of it, it looks right on. The colors are
vibrant and the die cut is awesome. It may not be screen printed, but
the process he is using works fine for artwork like this imo, limited
run stuff. I cant wait to get the Star Castle side art work from him as
well. Now I just need to convince him to make Cosmic Chasm side art and

Nice work Archer,

How does one get in touch with Archer to place an order? Is there a web site
or email address?
Best,
Jim

I contact him at amre...@hotmail.com without any trouble. I dont know
what he has and doesnt have, since most of it was and is done in small
runs. It is not the cheapest stuff in the world, but well worth the
price imo.

I have been off list for a while due to heavy duty work schedule, but
things are looking much better from here on in.
I've got a big production run happening next week. I also really need
to set up a website !
You can read a HUGE spreadsheet list of what artwork I have archived,
and which pieces have made it through to production already, and some
answers to commonly asked questions, on the following link :-
http://www.ionpool.net/arcade/archuk/archer_artwork_2005.html
Star castle, Rip Off, Solar Quest, Space War (vector beam version),
Warrior, Armor Attack side-art pairs are all production ready. If you
have literally half an hour to look around ALL the links of the above
page you'll see I've been pretty busy with artwork.
Star Wars cockpit is pretty much there too, but this is no less than 34
sq ft of print, or about 2.5 times the area of normal side art !
Millipede full side and front art was done back in the summer.
Battlezone SA full size, Missile command SA, Asteroids Deluxe (another
print run just done) all available at the moment.
I still have a few CPO's left from the last batch of Peter Pack Rat
and Space Fury (pics on the above links).
I've got a couple of full sized Black Widow side art pairs left as
well. These were printed on full length white roll, so you just apply
the whole thing rather than a decal on a prepped white sided cab.
I've also been working on special side art for Atari
Mini's/Cabaret, and have already produced Missile Command and
Battlezone Mini side art based on shrunk versions of the full sized
art. I've been playing around with tempest mini but this needs
substantial editing to make it fit tastefully. Asteroids and Centipede
mini also exists !
I might yet tackle Cosmic Chasm but need 20 orders for Side art and CPO
before I do this, because it's a horrendous amount of work due to the
really poor quality of the original art prints. The original stuff is
also very different on each side, and the colours hugely inconsistent
from top to bottom piece. I could either faithfully reproduce poor
image detail, or better still subtly update it to look a millions times
better. But I'm looking at 50+ hrs work on that one, just to make it
look good.
I need to update Toms ionpool site with pics of the above, and this
will happen over the Christmas break.
Archer
Thanks!

One major problem with vectorised art is that is easy and quick to do
and looks wonderful printed etc, but its usually hugely inaccuate
compared to the original. I use an original cab and scan the entire
thing at at least 300dpi, usually 600 and build up masive bitmaps based
on the original art. Colour matching is done against a clean original.
If I create a piece that I know is not absolutly spot on colour wise
(for various reasons, like possible fade issues on original), or
perhaps been art thats imporved/modified, than I make this real clear.
