Come on Mark, I did this the most honest way I knew of. I dont care if
you started "free friday" or not. It doesnt entitle you to anything
from me. In fact Ive probably given more away to rgvac in 2004 than you
have in all your years on rgvac combined. Making matters better for
some was that I found 5 more marquees so I was able to give away 16.
Wanna guess what 16 of these marquees and shipping cost? Well its
likely quite a bit more than youll give away in the year 2005.
Afterall, youre the one who keeps relisting cheap ass Willis art. Why
not just give it away on the "free fridays" you started?

Sorry for the rant guys. I hate cry babies when you give stuff away and
try to do the right thing. So far all the non-winners who have replied
back after getting the email were quiet pleasant. Leave it to Mark to
be the lone sore loser.

fwiw, here is the email I sent to everyone that didnt get a marquee,
although my original post said I wouldnt send one out:

Hi,

I'm very sorry that I didn't have 273 of these to go around! That's how
many requests I ended up with. I did find 5 more to make it a total of
16 to give away.

I simply gave them away in the order I received your emails.

Thanks for emailing and have a Happy New Year in 2005.

Darin and Nancy Jacobs

www.phoenixarcade.com

So thats 16 emails I sent to the winners, and 257 emails I sent to the
non-winners. Could I have missed some, sure. Thats a lot of emails to
send out. Im sorry if I missed anyone. Lets not cry over spilled milk.
Happy New Years

that i was one of the first one's who replied. That's all i was saying.I
would never have done that to anyone who replied first like i did.No problem
.As far as the Willis art.Check my auctions. If there are people who will buy
it.Then why would i give it away.?.I make part of my living on ebay. And they
sell.Take a look at the Moon Patrol one.It had 2 bidders and sold this
morning.I've been selling them for about 5 years.I sold over 100 of them.Im
finally down to the last 20 or so.As long as there is a buyer for them.I
will continue to sell them. After all.I bought them.

Errrrr, Spaeth IS a good guy. He just tends to me quite impatient with
people. Other than that, he's a pretty good guy from what all the
people who know him well tell me.

Now Markline says a few funny things. Most of them are funny because it
makes him look like an ass, not because he gets over on anyone.

He really needs to get some private tutoring so he can advance past the
1st grade intelligence level. All you have to do is read (if you can)
any of his posts and you almost feel sorry for him. He slipped through
our educational system. I guess the administration said "lets just get
this one through as fast as we can" so they dont have to deal with him.
Afterall, he wont contribute anything to society.

Markline is without a doubt the most killfiled person on any of the
7 newgroups I read regularly.

Didnt know that - you ever work for RCA Service or did you go to the school
and went into your own business? They turned out some wicked good techs in
the 70s up here - lots of real hands on work at those schools not just books
and theory labs - they trained their techs on the actual equipment that they
were going to work on.

Yes Art.I graduated in the early 70s.They closed it down not long after and
were opened again by TCI.I took Computer repair.Man it was really hard in

inventory when gold was only about 100.00 an ounce.About $250.000 worth. It
went straight up to over 800.00 after that.Just do the math.Well now that
most of the homes and cars,Boats,ETC are gone after 13 years of that.I
decided to open a Video vending route about 17 years ago.And after seeing
all the high prices they were getting for S/Fters at that time.I decided it
would be more profitable to sell the games then break my back with a slave
route anymore.Well the rest is history.I made it again. Now im sliding down
again. So im starting some more ideas now.I think i have one more success
left in me.I hope.:)).Last chance before being broke like i was 30+ years

For once I'll say shame on Art. If he really is a friend of Marks he
would tell him he is doing far more harm than good. And it really
doesnt look good for Art that he continuously sticks up for this loser
who offers nothing to this group.

But like he says, they gotta stick together. For reasons that probably
cant be explained. Never thought of Mark and Art as one in the same. I
learned something about Art tonight. Oh well, I kinda still like him.

And Mark, you say youre sliding down again? Well I dont care how rich
you have been, its what you have now that counts. And money isnt
everything. Character says a lot. Since you have neither you come here
to waste everyones time, except Arts.

Other than Art, have you ever hung out with anyone here in rgvac? I
dont mean meeting someone from a game you bought or sold. I mean
hanging out. If so, please name them. I doubt there are any.
Game, set, match.

Mark and I just happen to be of roughly the same age and background, and I
can envision what he went through running a business in the city - being in
NYC has unique aspects that just dont seem to afflict businessmen elsewhere.
What I was really commenting on had nothing to do with the newsgroup; it was
the idea that he built a business, lost it, built another, sees it sliding
downhill, and is still looking to keep going and try to hit the mother lode.

I admit to ignorance of the original New Year's thread - if Mark has once
again started some shit for fun with someone undeserving, I apologize for
appearing to support that - that wasnt my intent. As to Mark's
contributions to the group, I am not really qualified to comment on that.
All I know is that whenever I need something that Mark has, it is available
quickly and dependably; price isnt really an issue for me if I need
something and his prices arent bad anyway.

Sorry to have disappointed you - sometimes my quick replies might better be
tempered by reading the entire thread first
