Just seems like a good idea to make shoot em ups more fun to play. Any good way to add a rapid fire button to make the extended gameplay easier. All I could think of was to use the rapid fire board off of a Galaga. Anyways, a person could add a 3rd or 4th button to games where the extra button is rapid fire. Might breath extra life into on location games. Just a thought. Better yet, make it a lighted button that blinks when you press it( in sync with bullets) .

Would be pretty easy to whip up a universal rapid fire board using a small microcontroller like an Atmel ATTiny13 or similar. Have certain button combinations turn the feature on/off... etc

I thought it would be a nice use for a third button on a jamma settup. Just add a small board (like the galaga rapid fire button) split off from the regular button and run it to the thrid switch. Then just push the button and let it rip when you wanted to lay waste.
