Complete, non-working Zaxxon in otherwise decent shape. Full size,
upright cabinet. $100, you pick up from my residence in Rockville,
Maryland, 20850.
When I received this unit, I soft-start powered it up ok. It accepted
quarters for credits, and played fine for about 15 minutes, then it
shut off. I haven't had time to diagnose, but the obvious suspect is
one of the power supplies. Most surprisingly, the Nanao fine pitch
cathode ray tube seems near new -- vibrant color and shows practically
zero burn in. The monitor as a whole still powers up now.
The machine looks decent on the outside -- not great, not
horrible. I'd give it a 6 out of 10. The side graphics are nearly
perfect except for a nick on one side and a 8" scratch on the other.
The scratch runs through pure black so would not be hard to repair
cosmetically. One bottom edge of cabinet that sits on floor has
usual fraying from hand truck loading .. would need about an 2"
overstrip to look decent.
On the inside, the machine is dusty.. especially the monitor
backside... but in good shape.
The cabinet is solid, nothing falling apart.
