Auction at Betson New England: December 5th

It's time for our annual CMIA auction at Betson New England.

First the terms: 10% buyer's premium & 6.25% MA State sales tax.

Where: Betson New England
560 Turnpike Street, Canton, MA 02021.

Time: 10AM Viewing, 11AM Bidding Starts

Accepted Payments: Cash or Check.

Games must be removed day of, delivery services available.

If you want to sell a game: $75 fee per machine.

No way! Joe is an honest guy and Betson is legit. You're thinking
about Super Auctions. Those guys should be in jail.

Lots of junk at these auctions. Mostly games with weak monitors that
aren't worth replacing.

FYI, I was at their auction last year as a seller. Were you there?
My items, as well as Betsons went dirt cheap. I'm only going as a
buyer this year.

You seem to be implying that Betsons is dishonest. I can assure
that is not the case, at least in the Massachusetts branch.

i will second mike here as they run an honest and true auction. i have
been many times and bought some items. i have been to super auctions
and will never waste my time again as they are crooks. thanks ed

I went. There were only three pins there. A World Cup Soccer went
for $1000. A collector brought a Flash and a RoboWars. I think the
Flash went for $700. I didn't wait for the other one.
Everything else went cheap. I wish I had more space. CD jukes were
going for $200. There were five redemption basketball games that were
about 12 feet long each, they sold for $25 each. Vids went for next to
nothing.
It's just sad that all the pins are gone. Betson had no new pins in
the showroom. I doubt there will be any pins at all next year, unless
collectors bring them.

Thanks for the update - now I am glad I couldn't make it. That's too
bad though - would have expected more.

If games were only selling for $200 then why would a seller bring
games at $75 a pop? Truth is video game sales are in the dumps
especially when a working Defender in excellent shape on ebay only
fetchs $117 and Centipedes arent even gong for $150 anymore. I cant
even get $100 for good Ms Pac projects anymore. I think were gonna see
the end of these businesses selling machines for $1250 just because
they have, "trained technicians" that go thru the game.

That Flash was real nice! I picked up three Megatouches, a Crown for
$175, 07 Radion 225 and a Force uprigh for $100
