If you look these guys have stolen 1/2 the art posted to
www.arcadecollecting.com and then worse they have copied others efforts such
as fabulous fantasies, Arcade shop, Arcade Renovations, Herb's wonderfull
KISS and Captain Fantastic mylars, etc. These guys should be boycotted and
sued. This is rediculous! Dont buy any art from them as it is immoral as
it gets. The Dragon's Lair and Space Ace art was provided for non profit
individual restoration use along with several other pieces which have
appeared on this site. I think they should be boycotted for unethical
sales. They never offered any thanks to those who have posted or helped
redraw much of this work. I am angry to see artwork I donated being
reproduced commercially like this. Phillip at arcade renovations just went
through the hoops to legally get the rights to produce the art for Dragon's
Lair and these guys steal his sales and are not paying royalties. Go get
them Bluth.

I checked this out and sure enough...Dragon's Lair. They are also
doing Space Ace. Doesn't he realize that Bluth can have his ass on
this? Heck, he's got art for several Namco games listed in plain
sight on there also, so he seems to be asking for it on all sides.

Oh, and his DK side art is still way off the correct colors.....
thought I'd toss that in there.

Give me a break. We didn't rip anyone's reproduction artwork, this stuff
was sent to us to reproduce. People send us stuff they need printed all the
time. If you don't like it tell all the companies who produced all of these
games to hurry up and get back in business. Herb Silvers produces those 2
mylars, but after we did not the other way around. Call him and ask if you
like. As far as the Dragon's Lair, I wasn't aware of arcaderenovations
licensing agreement. More power to them for licensing something they
produce.

I went and looked at the site listed in the posting and saw that he was
correct. The graphics we received for reproduction are the same. Since I try
not to make it a habit of stepping on peoples toes, I've had those graphics
removed from the site.

Lord....you weren't aware? Why is it do you think that Bluth game
artwork hasn't been done yet? Everyone out there is aware! I'm
certain that they will find out from someone and nail ya on it.

Thank you Heath. But I would advise you ask the sources of the artwork next
time if it is ok. I know you did however order your SPY Hunter Art from
arcade renovations and within a week you were selling it. I doubt you
honestly did not know. PS all of the Dragon's Lair art was done by a few
others and myself and I definately do not want to see you selling it. I did
provide it to arcade renovations so they could do colour corrections and use
what ever they did get a license for. I have a hunch you have been severely
slammed this week. I suspect you may be looking at some potential law suits
if you don't smarten up. Give credit to others where deserved. Make an
effort to ask for permissions also legally and morally. If you choose to do
some small runs for inhouse restoration using any artwork I have redrawn
that is great but going out and selling it in large runs offends me and many
others. You probably have really hurt your reputation here and these are
your customers. Good luck with business but do it right! Please focus on
works not done by others in the future so you don't step on anyone elses
toes. I would suggest you stop selling the Q-Bert and Spy Hunter Art well
you art at it as those were definatly stolen from Arcade Renovations or at
least bought and copied. If you want to know my stance on this please
contact me. PS I do provide artwork to companies like yours as long as they
are honest. Doing reproduction work is a blessing on the community as long
as you dont screw others in the process.

I'm just glad that there are people in the repro business like PC Amusements.
I'll let the attorneys deal with who gets paid. I've been to the PC Amusement
location and seen their side art in person. Some is excellent and some just OK.
I've even loaned them a set of NOS art from a classic game so they can copy it.

Mark, I thnk PC Amusements has their niche.

Seems like they are willing to do artwork that Phillipe and Steven might pass
on.

However, if I were to loan a piece of NOS art for copying purposes as you say,
Id first offer it to Phillipe or Steven. Their quality has never been
questioned.

Im ordering a piece of ArcadeGrafix art so I can inspect it personally. Despite
the negative press theyve been given, Ill give a fair assessment.

Although I dont condone their practice of stealing others work like Michaels.
Shame shame shame.

Lastly, I purchased repro Tron side art from Dave Taylor because I thought an
average repro job was better than no side art at all. Boy was I wrong!

I cannot believe some of the long winded BS going around this place. Some of
you have more time to type than you do to check out your facts. Amazing!

I tell you what. I will be at some of the upcoming auctions. I will let you
know where and when. You can see the work we do firsthand and decide for
yourself. I have never like this aspect of the newsgroups; the fact that
some people sit in relative anonymity espousing negativity, some true some
not. They don't even bother to check which is which! We do the best work we
can and I believe it is pretty good. I have said many times that anyone is
welcome to check our work out and be fully refunded if they don't like it.
As far as these graphics that you're complaining about, since it was my
mistake for not checking the source of the graphics, I had them pulled. I
have seen this over and over again in here, people jumping on something
negative and writing a book on it. Relax, there is no conspiracy. They are
not out to get you. It will be ok.

Sincerely,

Heath

It will be good for some people to see your artwork in person. Don't be
surprised if you see them posting the same comments on here as others have. You
complain of the "relative anonymity" of the posters on the newsgroups...but at
the same time, your company sells its products in "relative anonymity" on the
internet - as you can't judge quality from pictures on a website, and people
don't know until they have the items in their hand and before they know it
they're returning them, and eating the shipping both ways. : (

Richard,

I saw the stuff first hand at the Orlando auction.

Pretty much crap compared to Steve and Phillip's work.
