Dear fellow enthusiasts,

I have finally started to resurrect my SEGA Monaco GP (the "Pro"
version), which has been stored away for many years. First problem
seems to be that the video board does not produce a proper video sync
signal. I have swapped that board with a spare one I have, resulting
in a proper picture on the monitor, however - as this swap board is in
rather bad shape otherwise - I'd still like to repair the original
one.

Tracing back to the pcb components from the sync output, I've come
across this part ( http://www.kersch.at/monaco_gp_5618.jpg ), labeled
"IAM 5618", with 9 pins and one of them being broken. As I have had no
success looking for data sheets: does anyone know what this is,
ideally with pinout and/or available replacement?

Thanks for your help!

Martin

that looks like a resistor pack. Has one end got a dot or a line on it? Does
the pcb have a long rectangle box stenciled on it were you pulled that out
with one end haveing the first pin boxed off. If so put one lead of you ohm
meter on the end pin and touch each other pin with the other lead. They
should all be the same resistance.
