Or, is there a fairly inexpensive aftermarket overlay available? I
wouldn't want to spend too much as the guy I bought my Vectrex from
tried to pry the controller apart, not realizing that the screws were
underneath the overlay. So, this controller will never be mint, but I
would at least like a new overlay.
Also, would anyone know where I can also locate a scan of the graphic
that goes on the underside of the controller?
Thanks!
Are you after the GCE USA one or the MB european one?

There you used to be a guy on ebay who sold these, but he sold his
entire lot about half a year ago. In his ebay description he said he
was selling the last in his batch.

I would prefer the USA one (mine is a Canadian model), but I like the
look of the European one as well. So, really either would suffice.
Would anyone have a scan of either? I could get it printed at a local
print shop if I had a decent scan to work with.
I was one of the people who bought those reproduction overlay stickers
on eBay. They are well made. I'm really busy right now but when I
can find some free time I can scan the original overlays for Havok
(the US versions). I think that a 600dpi PNG format should be
satisfactory.

That would be perfect. Thanks!

Oh, you have the Euro version of the controller with "Made in Taiwan"?!
Haven't seen that one before... ...but I guess not really a rare item... ;-)
Nice stuff, anyway...

You have some really interesting stuff and links on your webpage. I've just
downloaded some binaries, for example. An update would be very good, of
cause, especially fixing the broken links would be good.

BaronVR, I am happy you are still present. When the old link to your
website stopped working some months ago I was fearing you were another
Vectrex fan destined for the Vectrex missing persons file.
Look forward to the updates to an already fantastic site.

OK, I finally had a chance to scan my stickers. These are genuine
Vectrex stickers (not repros). Here are links for them:
http://www.cybersandy.net/peteski/Vectrex_console_lbl1.png
http://www.cybersandy.net/peteski/Vectrex_console_lbl2.png
Those are quite large PNG files (at 600dpi).
At 600dpi the texture of the plastic surface clearly shows up. In the
2nd scan I used "descreening" option on the scanner to visually subdue
the texture.
If someone else wants to host these files please feel free to download
them and host them. I'm not sure how long I'll have them up on
cybersandy.
Excellent scans Peter!

Thanks again, guys,

I think there will be always some collectors discussing and picking up new
things. From my point of view, a very essential and important part that
keeps the Vectrex alive are the Vectrex veterans (like you) with their
knowledge of ancient times and the homebrew and emulator developers (like
George, Kristof, Franck, Richard, ...) which provide "fresh meat" every now
and then. Thank you for your endurance, good effort, and being around here
at RGV!
