RESULTS & ANSWER KEY for Golden Oldies Lyrics Quiz #360 (GOLQ360)

Congratulations to Delphi Trivia Club, The EJ'S & Co., and Village Idiots, who
finished in a 3-way tie for first with perfect scores.

Just behind, missing only the tiebreakers, was Will McCorry. DEC & Friends also
excelled, missing only the artist for one song.

I try to pay tribute to GOLQ artists upon their passing, but we fans are also
subject to time taking its toll. Team Asia has participated in the GOLQ series
on-and-off for the last 20 years; team member Mitch Herczeg informed me with his
entry that his quiz partner, Barry Chamish, passed away in August 2016. See
Barry's Wikipedia page for more info on his interesting life.

Written by this multi-faceted artist, who died 11/7/16 at 82. Judy Collins
released it first on her "Wildflowers" LP; his version followed soon
thereafter, on his debut LP, "Songs of Leonard Cohen." Roberta Flack also

Paul Simon was approached in 1967 by director Mike Nichols to write a few
songs for his upcoming movie, "The Graduate." After reading the script,
Paul came up with two: "Overs" (depicting the Robinsons' loveless marriage),
and "Punky's Dilemma" (Benjamin fantasizing while floating in the pool).
Nichols rejected both, so S&G demo'd an incomplete & unrelated song Paul was
working on, whose placeholder title had been "Mrs. Roosevelt." They pitched
it to him as "Mrs. Robinson," to correspond with the character, and Nichols
loved it. All three songs appear on S&G's 1968 "Bookends" LP (although the
"Mrs. Robinson" on the LP differs from the earlier movie version).
