Quite a few, I would say, although it depends on what you mean with "rust".
Most metals are subject to oxidation, but some, like aluminum acquires
sheltering layer of oxde which prevents further oxidation. I guess you
mean the only metal that do not form an oxide with the oxygen in air. Again,
I would exoect that to be more than one, but I may be wrong on that point. I
go with gold.

Takes longer time to slow down the airplane because of the lower air
resistance.

Well, I'd say "rust" means "form iron oxide", so that would be all of
them except iron. I'll go with gold, though.

> b. what is is the only muscle in your body that is attached at only one end?

I'll go with the tongue.

> c. what is the only number that cannot be represented using roman numerals?

Depending on what you mean by "number" and "represented", and for that
matter "Roman numerals", there could be lots and lots. I'll go with 0.

> d. rounded to the nearest 10%, what percentage of all living things live
> in the ocean?

I have to think soil provides a better home for microorganisms than
anything in the ocean, so I'll guess as low as 40%.

> e. why do Airports at higher altitudes require a longer airstrip?

Ah, an easy and reasonably well-defined question. The amount of lift
available at a given airspeed is reduced because the air is less dense,
so more distance is needed to reach a higher takeoff speed (and to slow
down from a higher landing speed).

> f. what are the only fruits whose seeds grow on the outside?

Strawberry?

> g. what has he highest calories of any fruit at 167 calories per hundred grams?

Strawberry? It was a good guess the first time.

> h. how far away from the earth does the moon move every year?

Wow, that's obscure. Well, it can't have receded by more than the
present radius of its orbit since it formed originally, so for an
order of magnitude say 400,000 km in 4,000,000,000 years... then
no more than about 1 km per 10,000 years or 10 cm per year. But
the rate of recession will certainly have descreased over that time
and I don't know what orbital radius it would have formed at in the
first place.

I'll say 5 mm per year.

> i. how much heavier does the earth get each year due to falling space dust?

Wow, that's even more obscure -- I can't think of any way to get a
handle on it I'll just guess 1,000 metric tons.

Thinner air is less lift - less lift means more take-off room.

If "rust" is defined as "oxidize" then a bit of research leads me to
conclude that there is no answer. If noble metals are considered to
oxidize so rarely as to be acceptable answers then there are several
depending on exactly how you define it - gold, but maybe also osmium,
definitely silver, etc. (Silver tarnish is a sulfur compound, not
oxidation.)

for certain values of the above, this is still true.

up first, the expected answers

a. what is the only elemental metal that does not rust?

gold

yes, a poorly worded question. abut I am letting it stand since so many got the intended answer.

b. what is is the only muscle in your body that is attached at only one end?

tongue

c. what is the only number that cannot be represented using roman numerals?

zero

which is why they couldn't properly terminate their c programs, or so I've heard.

d. rounded to the nearest 10%, what percentage of all living things live in the ocean?

90

e. why do Airports at higher altitudes require a longer airstrip?

lower air density

anything close to this was counted as correct

f. what are the only fruits whose seeds grow on the outside?

strawberries

g. what has he highest calories of any fruit at 167 calories per hundred grams?

avocados

h. how far away from the earth does the moon move every year?

2 inches

i. how much heavier does the earth get each year due to falling space dust?

100 tons

j. what is the largest river flowing into the Adriatic Sea?

po

The actual answer here is 3.8 cm, which is a smidgeon under 1.5 inches.
I half remembered this. That is, I remembered the 3 part but forgot the
.8 part. So this is not a protest, just being anal-retentive.
