Pac-Man; Ang Pambansang Kamao (The Nation's Fist); The Mexicutioner;
The Destroyer; Fighting Pride of the Philippines; Pambansang Ninong
(National Godfather); The Fighting Congressman; The Filipino Slugger.
But as Gareth also pointed out along with giving one of those answers,
"Manny" is itself a nickname (for "Emmanuel")! 4 for Gareth, anyway.

> "Discover Canada".
See:

> *Note that only the answers given in this document will be
> acceptable!*
The last sentence was not present in the preamble of the original
game, but I added it in order to make question and answer 10
acceptable.
> 1. Name the only officially bilingual province in Canada.
New Brunswick. 4 for Joshua, Dan Blum, and Björn.
> 2. In 1813, this pioneer woman made a dangerous 19-mile (30 km)

Laura Secord. 4 for Dan Blum.

Manitoba. 3 for Dan Blum and Marc.
> 5. Who was the founder of women's suffrage movement as well as
> the first woman to practice medicine in Canada?
Dr. Emily Stowe.
> 6. In 1921, who became Canada's first woman Member of Parliament?
Agnes Macphail.

Canadian Expeditionary Force, Canadian Corps. One of the complete
names was required. 4 for Dan Tilque and Dan Blum.

> to attain full responsible government?
Nova Scotia. 4 for Dan Tilque. 2 for Dan Blum.
> 9. In 1849, who became the first head of a responsible government
> in the Province of Canada?
Sir Louis-Hippolyte La Fontaine.
He was joint premier with Robert Baldwin, but "Discover Canada"
mentions Baldwin only as another of the politicians who worked to
establish responsible government, so only the answer La Fontaine is
acceptable. Baldwin was accepted on protest in the original game,
but as noted above, its preamble did not include the note limiting
answers to those in that document.
> 10. On 1867-07-01, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia
> together formed a new country. Name this country formed under
> the British North America Act.
Dominion of Canada. The full phrase was required. 4 for Joshua,
Dan Tilque, Gareth, and Marc.
As I explained in connection with Rotating Quiz 179, the actual
correct answer is just "Canada"; the author of the guide is evidently
living in one of those previous decades when people acted as if that
was just a short form of a supposed full name "Dominion of Canada".
Scores, if there are no errors:
