I have the feeling that it's either about 1770 or about 1845.
Don't know where those dates came from or if either is correct,
but I'll go with the earlier one:

1771-01-18.

This is not the same date as the official holiday in Australia, Australia Day,
but it didn't matter in the end as sever entrants were off by such a large
margin.

Marc Dashevsky is eliminated, after severely testing my date calculator.
